    George Galloway-A step too far?

They all misrepresent their position in parliament every day, it's hard to police. Galloway's cosying up to middle eastern dictators with a penchant for gassing their own people is the worse crime.

FA warns Spurs of Yid Chant

How many Jewish people call themselves Yids? Very, very few.

FA warns Spurs of Yid Chant

If you really don't think Yid is remotely offensive, find someone Jewish you know as an acquaintance and call them one. Do it in the workplace. See how you go. Reclaimed words are still offensive to some, in fact with the N word, it's still offensive in any context to the overwhelming majority...

Free Speech V Police,CPS and Homophobic abuse toward us....interesting article

What a load of nonsense. If I knew that people were being arrested and charged for singing 'does your boyfriend know you're here' then I would be concerned, but I haven't seen any evidence that this is happening. It's not homophobic by most definitions. Instead people ARE being punished for...

Colin Murray starts Talksport on Monday 10-1

I quite like Murray. The complaints about 'defend the indefensible' are comedy gold really. Complain about it and you really have missed the point.

    Bale, Suarez, and Rooney

Suarez and Bale are 2 of the world's best players, neither of which are playing in the CL. The desire to get right to the top in your chosen field shouldn't make you a 'scab'. Of course, most people would prefer to play for Spurs than Real Madrid, right?

Improve the country in a year...

Cameron and co. are cutting benefits to control the population?! Because only poor people have children right?

Improve the country in a year...

Amazing how many people are targeting benefits. A victory for Cameron and co that. For the information of those saying that we should reduce child benefit, even if we reduced it by 50%, we'd save about the same amount we let Vodafone off in tax recently. Abolish it completely and we're saving...

Stuart Broad - Should he have walked, or was he right to stand his ground?....

Correct, but he's not required to make that call. The umpire is. That happens quite a lot though doesn't it? Very few batsmen walk - why be so angry with Broad? I'm not quite sure what you're talking about here. What have they covered up? What possible implications could there be? You are...

Stuart Broad - Should he have walked, or was he right to stand his ground?....

I'll ask again, what law did he break? Personally, I think he should have walked. I'd love it if everyone walked. But ultimately there are no rules that say he should. In my mind I can't therefore call him a cheat.

Stuart Broad - Should he have walked, or was he right to stand his ground?....

Woah there! What rule did Broad break to deserve being called a cheat? You can argue that it is in the spirit of the game to walk, but the batsman has no obligation to do so. It's better then to call out bad sportsmanship rather than cheating. I'm actually a bit baffled by this debate...

The "we have blown it/sort it out threads"

If we stop people talking about things they know nothing about AND stop people posting duplicate threads, NSC would be like a ghost town. It's a message board, let people talk about what they want.

O/t Daybreak shows us all that's wrong in this country

Why not form your own opinion on this by looking at the facts instead of parroting what Tory cabinet ministers are telling you. Unemployment benefit accounted for just over 2.5% of welfare spending in 2011/12. Low income support accounted for just under 21%. So much for the 'generations of...

O/t Daybreak shows us all that's wrong in this country

Well it's a approx. £45 million in salary p.a and £90 million in expenses. Plus all the other stuff that is probably incalculable ie. the cost of parliament and everything surrounding it. I reckon they cost us about a billion.

The ONLY Albion managerial suspensions thread [Latest: Tanno reinstated]

You could be right, but players want to break contracts all the time (by going somewhere else). But clubs don't fight it most of the time - it's not worth it. Time will tell on whether this was worth it.
