[Albion] Where will we finish in the league?

I tend to agree. Potter didn't have much more experience than FH and the squad was nowhere near as accomplished, true we struggled for the first few seasons with him but I think some of those lessons will have been learnt by the club. I do see us having a few difficult matches, to begin with...

[Albion] Where will we finish in the league?

I don't think so FH has a lot more managerial experience and unlike Hyypia some actual success.

[Albion] Where will we finish in the league?

In answer to the OP above the relegation zone. Having that confidence is really quite relaxing.

[Albion] This transfer period and RDZ

I agree, as this wonderful paragraph from the Guardian explains he was entirely the wrong fit for Chelsea. " In fact, he was so obviously the wrong fit it was tempting to squint in search of some brilliant masterplan just out of sight because this couldn’t be serious, could it? Here we had the...

[Albion] This transfer period and RDZ

Genuine question. Can you explain how mutual termination of a contract ( in the case of RDZ) and however it was framed with Potter means that the "terminating" club has a right to compensation if hired by another team? I am guessing that there would be clauses in the termination agreement?

[Albion] This transfer period and RDZ

They quite obviously were. Once teams understood why we were goading them they stopped playing along with it. That being said he did change tactics and probably would have had a much better run if not for all the injuries. You can't sell two of our best players and then have so many other...

[Albion] This transfer period and RDZ

I always assumed (as was generally reported) that the rift between TB and RDZ (if rift it was) was due to TB not being prepared to sink many millions into new signings, yet as soon as the market opened we went in guns blazing ( by our standards at least) and it looks like we are going to land...

[Albion] Deniz Undav **Gone To Stuttgart 09/08/24**

Nah send him on loan to EFL2. Sick and tired of primadonnas throwing hissy fits demanding that they don't have to honour contracts they signed

    [Albion] Hürzeler’s (Brighton) Tactics

would rule out both Potter (who I would argue had less experience) and RDZ I couldn't agree more, hopefully TB will pull him aside and say, we thought Potters teeth sucking was bad, for the love of dog please stop with the "guys" As to how it will go, I am very positive. Fortunately both...

[Football] Who would you rather do the double over?

It's an interesting question. Before I clicked on the link, I assumed Palace, but then I saw it was a choice between them and CHA. As someone has already said if it's Chelsea then we are having a good season and I have nothing but disdain for them, and to be honest the Palace thing is a bit old...

    [Albion] Japan pre season

Don't know about the game coverage, but I have been watching the coverage of the team in Japan and can't stop thinking about how much that must all cost and how far we have come since near obliteration.

[Football] Who do you want to be England manager?

Potter for me. Although I won't be watching any press conferences loved him as our manager but couldn't stand him sucking through his teeth and the way he responds to questions.

[Football] Minteh - This worries me

WTF, no. what I am worried about is the opposition defence will get away with "professional" fouls because they can't cope with him any other way. TBH after years of not seeing full matches when we got to the PL and I was once again able to watch my team play I was shocked at how fouling had...

[Football] Minteh - This worries me

I read this quote from a Dutch football writer "He is lightning quick and you could see in those pre-season games when he started pressing defenders they were scared of him when he had the ball and looking back at where he was again" He sounds so much like Tariq Lamtey who tore through...

[Football] To all the Southgate haters / wrong again and again and again **SOUTHGATE NOW RESIGNED**

No doubt it was a woeful performance, but how much can we blame GS for the team not being able to string two passes together without giving the ball away. I felt for Pickford he had a choice of banging the ball up the pitch and watch Spain bring it back down, or pass it out to his team and watch...
