    [Albion] So, 10 games left...

...and currently it is one win from last 13 in PL. Under Hughton we won 3 of the last 23, prompting Tony to make the change. In terms of wins from the last 23 games this time are we going to finish this season a) worse b) the same c) better?

[Help] Is this the worst day ever?

Obviously it's a bit of a troll thread, we could all cite our 'worst days' and most of them would be far worse than yesterday. With any kind of perspective, we have a team to be proud of. We are mixing it and competing in the strongest league in the world - the goal difference alone tells you...

They'll never take our freedom. Well, as long as you have the required number of points, obvs.

    [Other Sport] France v England

It is exactly that. You are just parroting the weak RFU spin line they use to try and justify the decision. But it is bollocks and doesn't hold water. If the only way we can attract the best players is by artificially skewing the market with emotional England blackmail, or by cheating and...

    [Other Sport] France v England

Why isn't there more opposition - not least from top players - to the absurd rule about not being able to play for England if you don't play in England? It is just mental and totally at odds with other sports. No need for it - it probably costs less for coaching staff/scouts to fly to some of...

[Albion] West Ham fans praising Murray

Days like that must be what make Glenn keep coming back for more. He of course has a genuine dilemma at Brighton. Very happy at the club, and really likes and respects the manager. But he just wants to play more. I am genuinely surprised he stayed in window because there was interest, and unless...

[Albion] West Ham fans praising Murray

Bit of a hospital pass for Geoff Shreeves there. Nothing to do with him the week before.

[Albion] Do we keep Potter if we get relegated

I think we'll keep him even if we go down. But it would be one of the most ridiculous relegations ever. We shouldn't be anywhere near it, and all those points we left out on the field after dominating games (maybe as many as 12) are - as they always were going to - coming back to haunt us...

    [Albion] Jayson Molumby

Was at the Millwall game yesterday, and was obviously keeping an eye out for Molumby. He wasn't hard to spot, it was a man of the match performance. Has a great midfield mentor in fellow Irishman Shaun Williams. Has adapted to the intensity of the Championship, commanding presence, natural...

    [Albion] Awesome....

It's mornings like this that remind me of some of the bizarre and ignorant reaction to Bloom and the board reluctantly making a big and tough call on Hughton and going for Potter. People who couldn't even be bothered to look at the run of results, let alone analyse the performances. Like this...

[Albion] Arsenal vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

Great stuff from the lads tonight. What I liked most about it was that the game was clearly there for the taking, whatever the so-called illustrious opponents...and even after the setback of a poor equaliser they first weathered the storm, and then went for the win. We needed a win whoever it...

[Football] Great piece about fans/staff most affected by Bury expulsion

You can't help feel that the Nevilles maybe could have done more. They are both very wealthy, and Bury should be more relevant to them than their Salford project really. In one way I understand the reluctance, no possible saviours/benefactors wanted even one penny to go the loathsome owner.

[Football] Great piece about fans/staff most affected by Bury expulsion

I think what got me about this article was that it was pretty easy to imagine this could have been us in 1997 - only we wouldn't even have had a pitch to go and mow as a devastated volunteer.

    [Albion] Frank Bruno

Agree with all of that. I saw him briefly at recent Boxing Writers occasion, and he seemed really well and at ease. His Foundation is doing great work, and in fact have just put this up for their Christmas work around depression...

[Albion] Potterball, your opinions so far?

Definitely pleased overall. Much better football, like the philosophy. Maybe we just need some better players in certain positions to really thrive. Not delighted with the league position, but then as last year showed and I have always believed position isn't what matters most. It is points...

[Football] The season so far - "I was wrong about..."

Sheffield United. Amazing start, is that right they still have not lost away in PL? A fair few of those players were in League One. Let's be honest, we all thought they would start near the bottom, and stay there, and be nailed on for one relegation spot. VAR. Originally I thought it would be...

[Politics] Labour Anti Semitism - Against the faith or the Israeli State?

The irony of this false 'anti-semitism' narrative against Corbyn and what he represents (ie a possible Labour victory, different foreign policy priorities) is that millions of Labour voters would back any campaigns to stamp out genuine AS in this country or anywhere else in the world. What they...
