Is anyone else travelling on the Vueling (VY6227) flight from Gatwick to Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport arriving at 23:15 on Wednesday evening? I’m looking for anyone that might like to share a taxi into the city, if we miss the 00:15 night bus.

Flying in at 11:15pm on Weds. Too late to get into the city using public transport, so spending my first night near the airport.

I was also very unlucky that my first booking failed

My first night is near the airport, as I don’t arrive until near midnight. My second night is at DEM Hotel, which is close to the main railway station and Repubblica metro station.

It was more like 6 hours after the event. I can’t remember where I found it, but I thought it was too good to be true when I did. I’ve even chosen my seats and already checked in.

I initially booked direct flights with Wizz Air for £104 through Booking.com. Some 2 hours later I was notified that the booking had failed! 😡 After lots of swearing and scouring of various booking sites, I managed to book direct flights, from Gatwick to Rome, with Vueling for £113. Very happy...
