Actually two branches of canal both the Leek and Uttoxeter arms which terminates at Froghall basin. Both arms split at Hazelhurst junction and the two arms are part of the Caldon canal which in turn comes off The Trent and Mersey canal.
Leek was served to all four points of the compass up until the mid 60,s and went the same way as many other lines. Morrisons now occupy the former station site and The Churnet Valley Railway run several miles of heritage railway and in fact we live a short distance away from Leekbrook Junction...
We have nothing like this here, bus services are poor 1ph to Stoke on Trent. Macclesfield or Buxton four or five a day. Yet and it's all about numbers we can't fault it. Plus after all the travel issues The Steamworks.
Go to your M/P with everything written down plus any tickets 🎟️ and receipts. Had similar yesterday with AWC and last minute cancellations and the station staff knew but no public announcement. Bring back Virgin Trains.
Obviously you would expect Crawley to press but felt The Rooks sat very deep, keeper had a good game and thought 10 was busy in midfield. At the end of the day it's Pro v Semi so always going to be a gap plus it was a PSF.
When it comes down to voting how exactly does it work say as in 51% yes 49 % no or a 66/33 split is that down to individual companies/trade unions or a larger company say like Ford, Stagecoach one depot out and then it's all out ?
Don't know what has gone on here maybe some kind of management threat to employees (?) and of course it's down to the individual at the end of the day yet extremely close vote. Personally a little surprised by the result.
Much in the news regarding this case and why the online abuse/trolling is beyond me, for this must be agony for Jay's family and friends and my thoughts are with them.
