———————- Verbruggen ——————-
Veltman — Dunk —- Van Hecke — Kadioglu
—————- Wieffer —— Baleba ——————
Rutter - —-——— Pedro ————- Mitoma
—————-——- Welbeck ————————

nicked your template Munchkin (I'm a boomer and can't align the names!) - does Rutter play RW? Also, would play Wieffer, cos he's mustard.
Agree Mitoma has to start, and praying Pedro is ok again.
This for me.. I would rest Minteh but play Rutter on the right instead, keep Adingra as a super sub - he played the whole match in midweek.

I’m not sure that Wieffer or Pedro will be risked from the start. We are taking a very cautious approach with bringing back players. Whilst I’d love to see a different left back to Hinsh, Hürzeler seems to be a fan of the inverted left back with Adam snatching a defensive midfield role and Velts, JPvH and Dunk shifting to a back 3 to cover.
Estupiñán needs to find form somewhere and Ferdi looked lost at left back against Ipswich due to a lack of training and game time with the 1st team.

Minteh needs a rest. We all agree that. He had some outstanding substitute appearances for Feyenoord, that’s what he needs to be doing for us presently and Adingra needs a start, few would argue.

Mitoma needs to step up soon but I’m backing Adingra to start on the right as Mitoma is still a match winner and could start banging them in very soon.

———————- Verbruggen —————————-
Veltman —- Van Hecke —Dunk—— Hinshelwood
——————- —— Baleba ——————————
Adingra —-—Ayari———- Rutter ——-—-Mitoma
———————- Welbeck ——————————

Subs: Steele, Kadıoğlu, Estupiñán, Webster, Wieffer, Enciso, Minteh, Ferguson, Pedro

A stacked bench with Ferdi (still needs a lot more time training with his new teammates to gel), the aforementioned Pedro, Minteh and Wieffer as well as flair such as Enciso will ensure the attacking 3 subs that inevitably appear around the 70th minute could make a massive change to the score.

Forest will play like Ipswich but with a much greater attacking threat. This could be a telling fixture for us. An indication of whether we are top 6 or mid table.

As for the likes of Gruda, March and Milner, I’d be shocked if any make the bench. We’ll be taking our time over all 3. There will be some big names missing the bench too. Potentially Igor, Moder and Lamptey might all feel that they didn’t do enough against the Wolves.

It's a nice dilemma to have with so many players are fit..
I'm hoping minteh and hinshelwood get a week off as they've played lots recently and don't want any players burning out.
I just hope Baleba is strong enough for at least 70 minutes as he too has played alot.

Bad feeling Pedro is still out. Hes been posting random dull pics around the house. And seemed to be playing video games past midnight this morning. Doesn't strike me as someone who's focussed on the game this weekend.

But who knows !!

I agree it would be good to see Adingra on the left for some of the match on Sunday. He’d then be up against Aina who he destroyed in the AFCON final.
Reportedly Aina played very well against Liverpool, as well the other full back. Whoever plays on the wing will have a tough game.

Going to be an even bigger one when Gruda, March and O’Riley are back 😳

100% I'd still be starting Minteh against a very decent and physical Forest side, especially as their best attacking players are their wingers Hudson-Odoi and Elanga.

I like Adingra as part of the squad and he's a very useful sub but I think he's being a bit over rated on here. Wednesday night was typical Adingra, good against weaker opposition in low key match but against stronger opposition, I find he's a bit lightweight and ineffectual.

He's only got 2 assists in total in 35 Premier League games for us and 6 of his 7 Premier League goals have all come against relegation fodder - 3 v Sheff Utd, 1 v Luton, 1 v Burnley, 1 v Everton (the other being his strike against Liverpool) with 4 of them in 5.0, 4.1 and 3.0 wins.

Plus he's better on the left than on the right and there's no way I'm leaving Mitoma out. Minteh's greater pace, strength and defensive work on the right will be essential against Forest I believe.

Listened to the press conference.

He gave me the impression Wieffer will likely start and Pedro might feature late from the bench

We got badly exposed down both flanks against Wolves and forest have good wingers. Mitoma has to play but I would use Veltman on the right as a genuine full back rather than having a wing back. I would play Adingra provided he is encouraged to track back more because of late Minteh has been going down blind alleys too much. I don't think we should choose a winger because he's better defensively if another is better attacking- to me that's the wrong mindset. Also we should bear in mind that Forest will double up on Mitoma which should give space on the other flank.

Forest sometimes start with their wingers on the bench and then they bring them on in the 2nd half once the game is stretched. CHO and Elanga.

I could see Nuno maybe keeping the same XI and approach that they used against Liverpool. But if he thinks Hinshekwood is going to start at RB, he might opt to start CHO.

Assuming Pedro not fit enough to start (but maybe replacing Enciso for the final 20 or so) I'd go with:

Verbruggen
Veltman - Van Hecke - Dunk - Ferdi
Ayari - Baleba
Adingra - Enciso - Mitoma
Welbeck

Enciso over Rutter? Thought Rutter did alright against Ipswich.

I just like the idea of one of young Julio's 25 yard pile-drivers hitting the back of the net! We might need that if Forest play as cagily and cannily as they did at Anfield last week.
TBH we've got choices all over the team, and you can probably make a case for all of them!

i appreciate the common consensus is that minteh should be dropped for adingra, but i really don’t rate adingra on the right. he’s a left sided player and should play there. but i wouldn’t start him over mitoma
