Tbh, guns wise, nothing's really a no-goHow does a guy with documented mental health issues and a criminal past get hold of an AK47 anyway?
Even for America I thought that stuff was a "no go"?

Well, exactlyFour years ago a criminal with mental health issues had the nuclear codes
Possible but playing a very dicey game seeing as he was nearly killed. Mind you, he has numerous mental health issues so perhaps that played a factorI suppose there's always the possibility that his rifle wasn't even loaded and he wasn't even in possession of ammunition and he was just making a symbolic statement, which might explain the absence of more serious charges
I fear there may be a typo here...History will not remember this era in the former Republican party very unfavourably.
I just get so negative when thinking and typing about the Republican party!I fear there may be a typo here...

They're used in bullet proof vests for body armour...I'm curious as to what the ceramic tile in his backpack was for?
Perhaps they have charged him with the easy bits so they can hold him in jail while deciding which of a range of more serious charges to go for.Now been charged with federal gun crimes - possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with an obstructed serial number. No mention of charges related to attempt to endanger life or anything like that, unless they'll come later...
