Yeah we saw that one a few days back. It's all madness.

Mothers murdering (from an actual legal point of view, not some 'abortion is murder' point of view) babies, and schools operating on kids in their special operating theatres behind the canteen, without parents knowledge. It's full on bat shit crazy.
He is claiming he was 18 or 19 percent in front of Biden after the first debate before Harris and Pelosi removed Biden in a coup which - he claims - he would make an impeachable offence if he becomes President.

And not content with his Trump $200 gold sneakers, Tump 'fight, fight, fight!" bobbleheads and Trump digital trading cards, i seems be is poised to unlease the ultimate grift - Trump crypto currency.

You couldn't make this stuff up.

Maybe I should have posted "What he was trying to say" or He didn't mean that? Is that helpful?
Seriously CD just accept that on this point you are wrong. I posted a link to Trump saying he would ‘encourage’ Russia ‘to do whatever the hell what they want’ when he was talking about other Countries shortfall in defence spending on NATO.

You directly quoted and contradicted my post by flatly denying Trump said that at all.

Even after I posted a video of him saying this, you are still arguing he didn’t say it, or didn’t mean it or was talking about something else and nothing to do with NATO.

It‘a taking your MAGAthon a bit far if you are now saying whatever Trump says is whatever you want it to be at any given moment in time, contrary to the direct evidence 😳

Maybe watch the video I posted again then go back and read your earlier response to my post.

Trump prefers crapto currency to mirror how his shares are doing on the stock market.

The arse end of Hangleton
This is what he actually said:-
Q: What specific legislation will you commit to to make child care affordable?

Trump: Well, I would do that and we're sitting down, you know, I was, somebody, we had Marco Rubio and my daughter, Ivanka… But I think when you talk about the kind of numbers that I'm talking about that because the child care is, child care couldn't, you know, there's something you have to have it in this country, you have to have it... I want to stay with child care… So we'll take care of it. Thank you
If only he could speak English we might understand him.

I dont know how to post multiple quotes so anyhow. I said,

"That is not what Trump said, he said when asked what would the US do if European countries don't pay their way he said I hope Russia invades them which is a Trumpian joke/middle finger."

You took that out of context,

" Trump said that a president said if we don't pay and Russia attacks us will you defend us? Trump said, you didn't pay you are delinquent and the other guy says yes. Trump said I wouldn't protect you and would encourage Russia do do what the hell it wanted, you gotta pay."

This is trump responding to a free loading issue not a political NATO issue, I may be wrong but then the issue is why are countries publicly reneging on their agreements to contribute a certain amount to NATO defence?
He said the exact words that you claimed he didn't say. You didn't say "you've taken them out of context", which is untrue anyway. You said "that's not what he said" but that's exactly what he did say.

“They don’t get that you can’t come to the United States from Europe and say you must give us more money because Putin is going to invade our country. The American taxpayer says, ‘What have you done? What has Germany done? Why do they continue to buy Russian natural gas?’ Fix your own backyard before you come to us for a handout”

Interesting article from both sides of the issue.

Yeah you could definitely argue what you thought he meant.

The main problem you have is that you're trying to defend him, and he's constantly coming out with total nonsense.
Nonsense to you, I've tried to explain some of it. Thats your problem.

I am yet to see anyone admit they are wrong on this thread, please link me where I missed it. . I have qualified my remark twice and that's it. I am not going to be played by you or anyone else and that includes being held to different standards.

As I have said my view is this thread is full of leftist scum, there is no way I'm showing fealty as that boat has gone. if you think I'm wrong then suck it up. After all you failed to show me how trump was racist and I let it slide.

It's nonsense to everyone here. Trump is an idiot and talks nonsense. The things he says can't be justified or explained to be logical by anyone. You claiming that you've tried to explain it is presumably a poor attempt to patronise, but it won't work.

I qualified that.
Maybe we could all agree that Trump didn't say what he said in answer to the question you cited, but that he did say it elsewhere, which was what was being referenced by the person you quoted and that you informed that Trump didn't say what he said. But it's a bit disingenuous to say that Trump didn't say something that he did say, but to add your own irrelevant qualifier as to when he didn't say what he did say!

Next you'll be stating that Trump didn't say 'Grab 'em by the pussy' on the basis that he didn't say it in response to a question about something like child-care or something.

Although frighteningly, if you told me he HAD, it would be plausible.

A New York Times poll has it at Trump 48% - Harris 47%, and says the Harris Honeymoon is over.

The debate early on Wednesday a.m. is huge. I will be staying up for it.

How on earth do you think I am ‘playing you’? It is you that quoted me originally not the other way round - my post wasn’t even directed at you (despite other people taking up the argument with you in subsequent posts). It is you that is persisting with accusing me of posting falsehoods about something Trump said. Why would I admit to being ‘wrong’ when I have provided video evidence to the contrary?

The only ‘standard’ I hold myself to is to fact check what I post on NSC before I post it. It is a standard that you consistently fail to meet.

As for your last sentence, Trump has demonstrated a long list of derogatory comments over the years directed at Mexicans, Hispanics, Native Americans, Jews, Muslims, women, people with disabilities and immigrants.

I really don’t care what you say CD or what part of the political spectrum you stand on but when anyone directly quotes something I post on a political thread as being untrue, they will have to come up with something better than “suck it up” or I’m “leftist scum” if they want their reasons for challenging what I have said to taken seriously by me or for me to admit I was posting falsehoods.

I think the debate has the potential to go badly for Trump. He's not been on form for some time, his schtick is becoming tiresome, there is potential for racism and sexism to do damage, and I don't think he'll cope well with the mute button.

That said, the chances are the debate won't be decisive and the vote in November will be tight. The brain says Trump is a lunatic but we've seen voters elect populist charlatans before, so nothing would surprise me.

I bet that if Trump is muted when it's not his turn to speak, he'll afterwards claim that this was further evidence of 'the radical Left' trying to silence him, and suppress American liberty.

It will be another excuse to play the persecuted victim card, which Hard-Right populists thrive upon - mega-wealthy prominent or powerful men constantly complaining that they are being bullied, oppressed, and silenced by 'the elite'.

And most of his cult worshippers, the MAGA morons, will agree with him.
