Nice to know that the decisions are being made in order to fix the situation as opposed to money being siphoned off to line the pockets of the Tory’s chums and relatives.
When you say 'fix', that implies some clue and direction.

Streeting is already out on bended knee apologising to constituents

I have noticed that Kuenssberg has now had enough of Starmer blaming the Tories last 14 years of government on the state of the country.

o

She has generously given Labour a couple of months to fix the country but they have clearly failed. To keep herself and her style of populist questions relevant, it’s time to blame Starmer and Labour for the country’s problems from now on.
She must miss the psychodrama of the Tories internal battles and fights for individual power? I always got the impression that she quite fancied Johnson and enjoyed his personable and comical personality, perhaps deep down, she’s always wanted to be a Johnson muse?
she does come across as being very upset that the tories were booted out,, which is nice

Voted Labour. Have always voted Labour. Used to be a member.

But this Labour government is TERRIFYING me. I wish I knew what I know now during the election.

It seems like they're going to tax the middle classes until there's nothing left but bones.

We'll see what they come out with in the October budget, but if the speculation is true - it's going to be f***ing bleak.

TBF it is galling to see someone who never criticised the last lot and supported polices that got us in this mess popping up to have a go at any opportunity. Maupay's message on humility should be a lesson.

With the greatest respect, if you are interested in the wealthy (middle class) keeping their stash and receiving winter fuel payments they don’t need, not being taxed effectively on captial gains they have either inherited or invested in after paying accountants thousands to avoid paying tax elsewhere or in favour of people receiving the sort of inheritance that inhibits and profoundly stunts social and financial mobility, perhaps you should never have joined Labour or Voted Labour?

The lurch to the right hits a lot of us as we age and buy into the Tory values that life is all about looking after No.1 and that money is the most important thing in life. Have you turned blue but are in denial?

The wealthy is NOT the middle class. Far from it. The middle classes are ALREADY struggling - with mortgages, student loans, child care, energy prices, and so on.

The wealthy don't need to worry about ANY of this, as their wealth exceeds any of these concerns. The truly wealthy is what a true Labour government should be targeting- but he's not - he's aiming at middle class families, young professionals and so many other people that keep our society and economy functioning.

It's terrifying. The bloke is a maniac.

Agree with the first part, what are you referring to with the second?

I do not understand why Reeves did not keep WFA but tax it. That way the well off pensioners would pay back 40% but the least well off would keep it all.

Isn’t it more complicated than that.

What about those with income between £12,571 to £50,270, basic tax payers?

If “the less well off” get to keep it all, that would allow pensioner couples with annual income up to £100,540 to keep the WFA.

you are right, he's a great improvement on the previous shambles. as a patriot you must be in awe of a british prime minister with such a professional demeanour. keep watching as you will learn a lot about leadership and human relationships in general. enjoy the next ten years or so of competence
Don't worry, the Starmer ideas void is about to be filled.
