Some friends of ours from Northampton met Kevin Rowland in Brighton and he invited them for Pizza in East Street. When they'd eaten he got them to do a runner.

I WOULD have spent the day playing cricket with Mick Jagger had a tour to France been two weeks before. He was president of one of the teams we played. So it will have to be..
Norman Cook and Hazell Dean both of whom I interviewed whilst at a local radio station, Although the show I did with Doug Sanders of the Lambrettas was my fav.
I was once on a train sat with Nigel Kennedy. I didn't really know him but Villa fans kept coming up to him. We chatted all the way back to London and he bought me a beer. Lovely chap.
On the way back from an Albion match decades ago, I was surrounded by the Manchester United youth team on their way to London. I struck up a two hour conversation with one of them who was about 17/18 and extremely articulate for their age. It turned out to be Gary Neville. Another lad, just as unfamous at the time, had come on as a substitute against Albion not long previously, gone into the wrong position and it led to us scoring. We took the piss out of him. His name was David Beckham.

As an employee, I met and chatted with Larry Ellison (the bloke that owns Oracle - the database/internet company), twice in fact. Once in San Francisco, once in Reading.
I doubt he remembers me, and not just because I don't work there any more..

My experience with Fontaines was standing sidestage next to them at Victorious watching RB - the increasingly stressed side of stage monitors guy kept asking them to put their cigarettes out as they had them right next to a whole load of electrical equipment, one (I think unintentionally) flicked ash onto his desk at one point also. They refused/ignored him. The singer was doing a Liam Gallagher style swagger as well which I just found a bit annoying, he may well usually be a nice bloke for all I know.
However, these sorts of things are always mildly pointless in terms of judging someone's character, not worth doing based on a 20 minute interaction really unless they're extremely nice/awful.

I was at that gig funnily enough, probably one of the best Fontaines shows I've seen that day with the crowd. Think it got stopped at one point, was manical.
