Who else are we trying to get off the wage bill today? Dahoud - Moder? Also youngsters Samuels / Offiah ? I can’t think who else we are likely to offload now!

Dahoud to Frankfurt and Sarmiento to Burnley by the sounds of it. Still might be looking to offload Peupion, Turns, Samuels, maybe Duffus. Also Sky reported were happy to sell Moder and Lamptey.

In the cold light of day I wonder what goes through the mind of that young laddie from arsenal.

“ fantastic I am being transferred to a prem club hoping to challenge for Europe playing against the best players in the English league…I am super excited…..REALITY ….oh it looks like they don’t want me for a year or two and I am now looking for digs in the arse end of Lancashire playing for a club I probably have never heard of or would ever have wanted to having moved from my home in London ……Well hopefully I won’t be forgotten like so many of players who get loaned out like that Percy tau bloke, or that Swiss striker they had, or that Portsmouth centre back who was going to be the next big thing……..”

forgive me if I don’t join in with all the euphoria on here seeing players offloaded.

Yet that’s the model and almost every signing we’ve made in the last 3 years or so have talked extensively about how they joined us because of the clear pathway we provided, compared to other teams. Ferguson being one key example

Oh FFS, he's not been unloaded - he's gone out to develop his skills and learn his trade at a more advanced level. He would have been offered (and it would have been explained to him) that he was being offered a pathway to first team football, not a guaranteed first team place!

....................... and, to be pedantic, he'll be getting first team football this season, just not at Brighton!
