If that Beth person really is a coach at Crawley, isn't she effectively admitting with that tweet that what we saw last night was a deliberate assault by Jay Williams?

It's not a great look, sure, but she's probably only a volunteer, sticking "community coach" on her bio to make it look like she's involved in professional football somehow.

I just think we're in danger of making an irrelevant club and an irrelevant player who literally nobody other than Crawley fans and his own Mum have heard of before last night, relevant, which is probably exactly what he wants. His football dreams have faded into playing for one of the smallest clubs in the Football League and once he leaves them, the only way is non-league, so he probably thought he'd play the big man and try to make a name for himself, as did the spineless little weasel who went through the back of Ayari (?) at the end and got sent off.

Let's not play their game. Move on.
Some people on here are just not 'reading the room' at all. A thug from a small team has deliberately crocked our player 8 minutes into his debut and you're all for downplaying it? No, let him, and that appalling Beth Humphrey know that they’ve crossed a line here. I for one am not prepared to just move on over this.

I, on the other hand, have always found them unbearable. Only MK Dongs have a weirder fanbase.
It'll come as no surprise that Crawley fans seem to admire MK Dons and dislike AFC Wimbledon.

Says it all really. I've gone from wanting them to do well to hoping they get replaced by a better quality of Sussex minnow in the football league. Shame the wheels fell off for Worthing really.

Interesting that 'football coach for @crawleytown' has disappeared from her bio. And the offensive 'tweet' has been deleted. What a nasty piece of work. I hope that if she was anything to do with Crawley that they take more action than the ref last night.

The biggest laugh I’ve had in ages was their fans singing “Brighton’s a shithole, I want to go home”.
On a slightly lighter note. I was walking into town in Horsham on Monday and a group of 6 or 7 Dover fans had just arrived at the station.

They were singing “Dover’s a shithole, we want to stay here”

😂😂

The number of Crawley fans on Twitter who think Jay Williams 'tackle' was hilarious just proves what an utter bunch of dickheads they are. Detestable club.

Do we pay them to use Broadfield for our women's .

While I agree that the tackle by their captain was unacceptable and should probably have been a red, I think there’s a big over reaction to them on here. They were very physical, but it’s nothing we shouldn’t be able to handle.

For large parts of the first half they were by far the better team. Their passing and movement down the left seemed to have Lampty all over the place. And they created some great chances.

The scoreline doesn’t lie. We were never going to lose that game. Williams should have been carded, but I’m not going to go all anti-Crawley over one player’s antics, no matter how disappointing they were.
At last a sensible post and not the hysterical over reaction from so many melts on here
A premier league team comes up against a league one side and shock ,horror it's a little to physical and they're actually putting themselves about .Its interesting the Brighton manager said before the game he was treating it like a Premier league match ,well league one teams aren't Premier league and will be more physical because the difference in standard between the players is very noticeable.
Crawley played some good football but the movement of the ball from Brighton players was so quick and at times the Crawley players were struggling to keep up with it .Its why there was some shitt pulling and a few late tackles ..Take away the Jay Williams tackle on O Riley ,which was a bad challenge,it wasn't an overly dirty match .Even the red card wasn't that bad ,the Brighton player was up on his feet in 20 seconds and shrugged it off .
Jay Williams is an aggressive tackler ,he plays like that most of the time ,In your face ,letting the opposition know he's there etc etc .Doesn't mean the challenge was ok ,but don't use that to slag off the whole team ,fans and as usual the town itself ....As I say there were a few tired tackles and pulls and tugs because as Crawley players tired the Brighton players went up a gear and the movement and quick passing was the difference between premier league players and league one /two players.

As for the Brighton fans ,Jesus ,do they take sleeping tablets before they go to games .
Did the noisier ones stay at home for this game .Funny lot of supporters ,seems a very middle class vibe and happy clappy feel about the place .
I won't even talk about the trains ,jesus ,no wonder you lot are so quiet ,to busy planning wondering if you need to leave 20 minutes early to avoid the wait .
I won't wish you well for the season nor will I hope you tumble back to the championship, where you really do belong because for all the melts on here trying to get some kind of rivalry started Crawley just aren't interested , Brighton have never been on the radar in the town and never will be ,not untill you eventually slip down the leagues and we get to play you more often.
Oh ,sort the parking out in Brighton and tidy up London Road and do something with the graffiti and replace the pebbled beach with sand blah.blah ,blah.

Is this semi-literate self-serving bullshit typical of Crawley fans? I hope your scum club dies.

She is celebrating the deliberate injury of a player. What IS she doing?
Exactly.

I wonder how many complaints about her conduct her club will now receive?

Hopefully they take action.
