It’s worth remembering the guy in the video - Swansman aka Han Solo - went on a drink and drug fuelled antisemitic hate speech campaign which directly got him banned. He posted some truly disturbing and racist stuff.

Since being allowed to return, he’s managed to avoid making further racist/antisemitic posts though, although he is admittedly still drinking and using drugs.

It’s worth remembering that “Swanny” never directly apologised for his hate speech, and only rejoined after finding The Shed End, Chelsea’s forum, wouldn’t engage with him and give him the attention he craves.

A YouTube channel is the next obvious step, in his own words, to “mind control the whole world”.

This is not a well man.

It’s hard for me to get behind him, or see others affectionately praise “Swanny”, because in my eyes it is openly supporting a user here who was previously banned for some serious hate speech. Therefore, those who support him implicitly support those views.

I can't remember if the flag eventually went up at the time. If not I suppose they can justify its inclusion but pretty stupid really as at least one player was visibly miles offside. It would never have survived a VAR check if it had gone in.

But there have been games where he's excelled. As a more general point, saying you think this style will suit him more if fair, but he has had some peaches.

I don't really want to further this conversation, but he did apologise for those posts around the time the Han Solo account was widely recognised as the same person.

I'm not interested in discussing the merits of that apology or any other aspect of this, I'm sure if anybody feels strongly enough they can find it themselves.

Because 'this account' hasn't done anything wrong?

There are - or were - other posters on NSC whose views were anathema to the mainstream of NSC, and there's probably a few who keep their views to themselves because they know that to express them on NSC would invite an absolute shit-storm. We may regularly be chatting happily with them on Albion matters, who knows? They're hardly likely to have 'Fully paid up fascist' under their avatar, are they?

If someone was really objectionable though (I didn't read the thread/s) then I'd expect them to be banned, not them be asked to simply open a new account.

"Simply" opening a new account, no, but with an apology and a restriction to posting about football on football threads only, that's different (and it doesn't imply support for his views, either by the mods, or by those of us who sometimes engage with him on Albion matters).

He spouted some conspiracy theories and antisemitic tropes if I recall correctly. Rather than wind his neck in he continued to argue his case and got a ban. Tbh I've read way worse from others. In fact just yesterday a poster went on more excessive rant and was given a timeout by a mod.
