It does make me wonder if we're going to see one of the main men sold or Solly return more as a wing back or, if he's lost pace, eventually loaned out. Minteh looked an absolute beast on Saturday. He's quick, strong, presses really well and can finish. This guy will be competing with him, Solly and Cozier-Duberry.

As exciting as it is this means either we're getting an 80% or less Solly or Cozier-Duberry will be going on loan, when his reason for leaving Arsenal was regular PL football. All a bit strange as we were completely adverse to signing wingers last season when we desperately needed them.

A counter argument to that would be that RDZ didn't find anything "extra" in him he just played him in his "proper" position. And the difference in performance showed why he should never have been played at wing back.

I think there was a debate about March's effectiveness as a wing back under Potter. I can remember conversations on here about whether he could tackle, whether he gave away too many free kicks. For me the debate is always, do you want someone who can "do a job" at wing back or someone who's a specialist.

I agree we have exciting talent in the forward areas, it’s our lack of experience in the midfield areas that concerns me. That’s where games are won and lost in my opinion.

I'm not moaning when I say this and i'm really excited by our transfer window so far but how come this window we are spending near to 150m euros and do we not have too many attacking players now?

If you google his name and look at news / top stories one of them is Bavarian Football Works story "Bayern Munich to miss out on phenomenon Gruda". Seriously highly rated in Germany. But as others have said, let's see if he adapts to the different challenges of the Premier League.

I'll be quite relieved if we now don't sign O'Riley. All those years of posters writing 'Houghton' instead of 'Hughton' were bad enough, but I don't know how much more I could take of the O'Riley/O'Reilly nonsense we've already experienced.

I imagine we are spending this money because we can now afford to- it's what a large proportion of NSC wanted us to do a few years ago when we couldn't. I'm sure we'll loan out some of our surplus attacking players.

I think attacking players tend to be rotated far more often and used off of the bench more often than a defender - they're generally the first to be used as subs to change a game early in the second half. They also seem to be more susceptible to injury if overplayed, particularly pacey wingers.

I get that but also believe he had plenty of games as an out and out winger under Potter. Admittedly under a different system but I'll edge towards De Zerbi getting more out of him.

I think Solly was often one of our best players at wing back. I was never concerned about him defensively except a long diagonal between him and the cb. IF he's now down the pecking order at right wing he'd be a great versatile option at full back and on the wing still, of course.

Here's hoping that he comes back just a strong as before though.
