The quote you highlighted, I stand by, who in their right mind being in a safe country already would then risk life and limb and pay thousands for the privilege to get on a tiny inflatable boat and go across a dangerous sea because they speak a better language over there. To be honest there's very little point debating with you (or some of the other usual suspects) as there won't be proper discussions back, just sniping (and another emoji).

There are other factors, but language is a big one. Some come because the UK has a shorter time period before allowing family reunion, so after 6 months, an accepted refugee can bring his wife and kids, it can be 2 years or more elsewhere. Some come because they have family here already, and can live with them. Some come because we grant permanent asylum, some countries grant temporary asylum, so if say a change in government or the end of war in their home countries occurs, their asylum could end, and they have to leave the life they have built in that country.
And yes, some come because it is easier to find work on the black market in the UK than in much of the rest of Europe, so if their asylum claim fails, they could still manage to live here, if they have friends that will help them stay out of sight of authorities.

EU doesn't have any facility to return Syrians, 8 EU countries have asked for that to be reassessed. I don't know about Iran, Afghan or others. Happy to be corrected.

I was referring to the Dublin Agreement where, pre Brexit, we could return asylum seeders to France. We obviously lost that ability after we left the EU.

We're in a sorry state at the moment. We laughed at the idiots in the states mindlessly following Trump and yet we have a similar crop over here, being led by a cabal with their own agenda. They believe all the crap served up on social media and use it to justify mindless thuggery on the streets. We are a democracy, you don't earn a seat at the table with this behaviour.

And yet there are still many on here arguing to justify their actions. Every rape is by an illegal immigrant Muslim, every paedophile, an illegal Muslim, every job a Muslim has is at the expense of a thick unemployed white boy, Next there will be morons arguing that they can't get an away ticket because they are being snapped up by illegal Muslims. If it wasn't so serious it would be laughable. At the end of the day, it's just racism.

Yes you can get life for arson. I would expect 8 years though, which is somewhat low when you compare it to Just Stop Oil sentencing.

I am not saying there is no 'problem'. I am saying that there is overwhelming evidence that white paedophiles are being 'let off' jail, meaning there is no special agenda to go easy on Muslim paedophiles (because they is a bit thick being Muslims and foreign).

And as I also said, if you bias your search you will bias your data set. Search paedophile and a different city or paper you will get nothing but white paedophiles in your net.
