I do archery each week (took it up when I moved to the Falklands a couple of years ago) - It's bloody hard hitting the target at that range although I did see one of the Archers get an end of 15 which I have beaten so there is hope for me yet!
Hitting it ? Would have trouble seeing it

That is really such a shame for Beth Shriever, barely believable really. Yesterday she was in a class of her own.

Leon Marchand again!! Will never tire of watching him. He is super human. Then the mens BMX 123. France are having a sensational games, they are going to blow our medals and golds from a home games out of the water. Also brilliant night for the Aussies who look like they will take their usual slot ahead of us in the medals table.
You reckon? We won 29 Golds in 2012. France have 11 now, so it'll be quite an acheivement for them to match that especially as their medal machine has finished his games now.

Was she blocked?
Not unfairly I don't think.

The French men, finishing 1,2,3 chose the inside lanes. The Frenchman's girlfriend did the same and won. I'm not sure why Beth wanted lane 6.

She’d won by a distance from that lane in her past 6 races or so?

She hadn't raced against Sakakibara, who also won all of here races.

Beth won all her races by outclassing everyone at the start. I don't think it would have mattered which lane she was in for those. But you have to prepare for being in a tight start, and all the local evidence suggested that the inside lanes were best.

You could try to represent the FI in the Commonwealth Games.

Watching the rowing buildup - does Matthew Pinsent only own one shirt?

He's been wearing the same one every time I've seen him in these games, over at least three days.

Question: some of the NI golfers like Mcilroy and others are representing
Ireland in golf. Is there a reason why Ireland and not GBR? Or do they have a choice
as to which team they can belong? Not an issue of course, just interested to know
the background.

Under the terms of the Good Friday Agreement, Northern Irish sportspeople can choose whether they represent RoI or the UK where appropriate

Now the Men's Eight, for which we are apparently favourites.

Honestly what’s the point of the f***ing boat race if we don’t win this
