You seem to be confusing me with someone who supports attacking a mosque …you seem to be confusing me with someone who supported that demonstration at Southport ..the attacking of police ..the destruction and criminality with someone who questioned the automatic labelling (by people on here and MSM ) of people who attended the Downing Street protest as far right knuckle draggers…the labelling of anyone who voted Reform as not having the ability to think (quite a few million then) ….so I won’t be pausing for reflection I’ve no need in fact it’s quite patronising if with the best possible motives :)

I don’t expect many if anyone to agree ..but felt a forthright reply was necessary particularly as an assumption has been made re Southport

Ps GB Try rereading my post that u referred to it originated from a comment about the ‘far right’ ..labelling etc and had nothing to do with motives of attending Downing Street …if I felt your question was sincere I might have offered an opinion
I don't know why you bother engaging with Guinness Boy and some of the others. If you don't tow the Neo-liberal MSM view, you are cast as a conspiracy theorist right wing nutter.
I very rarely come on this board now, except to check on transfer rumours but I stupidly clicked on this link, saw the usual bullies and got sucked in

You seem like a sound reasonable chap, don't engage. Remember we are all 'far right now'

It's such a shame as I've made lots of friends on this board and had many a debate but that seems like a distant memory 👊

Before I start, I probably trust the MSM less than you

But they are reporting that these demonstrations are being organised by far right groups trying to violently attack various religious and ethnic groups. (Mosques,Asylum seekers hostels etc).

Now obviously we know these are complete lies from the MSM, but I've been asking for a couple of days now for the real reasons for the demonstrations so we can prove the MSM are lying. To be fair, I haven't had a lot of luck with responses, but I'm sure you'll be able to give the real reasons

I mean, look at this rubbish they are pumping out

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cl4y0453nv5o

We just need some proper facts to prove they're lying

When I started posting here I couldn't believe how toxic this forum is. There may be about 10 to 12 activist trolls holding court but its not their fault per se, this is a failure to moderate in a competent and even handed manner.

Not sure what the real far right is up to. All I can say its all over "Normie" humour groups on facebook. Normally didn't see the Tommy Robinson stuff unless I went on Twitter but its all over the place.

To be fair - a lot of the grief you get is because you never actually really answer any of the questions posters ask you when they're trying to understand why you consider that Trump is the best person to be the next president.

Nice deflection from three young girls getting murdered on the street. No one is talking about that anymore.

I could point you to hundreds of threads where NSCers have rallied around and supported those in need. This is a community where tremendous amounts of empathy are shown towards others.

Then there are the political-related threads which, sadly, largely mirror much of our broader society. A few people trading virtual blows day in and day out, completely ruining discourse, and meaning most people just steer clear of it - they just don't want to get involved.

I'm currently mulling a few different ideas to try and deal with this age-old problem, again, one of which is to bring back "The Bear Pit", but calling it the more appropriate "Kindergarten", or similar, where the worst offenders on the political threads will be able to carry on their same old arguments, and they'll be thread banned from parallel political threads where, hopefully, the adults will be able to debate free of the children.

Out of interest, how many times have you reported toxicity and trolling to enable the moderating team to review and act? (I know the answer to this question, by the way)

I had thought that once Chelsea and West Ham games got going, this would fade away.

But this seems far, far more endemic. There’s an awful lot of bottled up anger out there.

Farage, Putin (yes, really) and others have tapped into years of millions feeling marginalised.

Not the British disease. Not dissimilar feelings and movements have a firm footing throughout the US and continental Europe. Politicians, the chattering classes, ‘the establishment’, have slept walked throughout. A few cottoned on early doors, the brilliant John Humphrys picked up on this undercurrent ten years ago.

I thought the liberal left were the snowflakes, we’ve got some sensitive souls on here who just can’t bare their forthright views being challenged, and everyone else must wrong.

I’m going to come on a public forum, post some views and I don’t expect any views back on those views thank you very much. It’s my ball, games over I’m taking it home…

That is what I was thinking. People ask questions and when they can’t answer they take the trump line of “you are just nasty”

People are now protesting with nazi symbols tattooed on their body. Let me guess, these people are being ironic.

I notice no one came back on my point about both of my dad’s parents fleeing here and being given safe haven. They met. Dad arrived. And he had kids. All turned out well. Many arguing people like my grandparents should not have been allowed in. The one difference is they were white catholics rather than black Christians.

I've been out the country on holiday since this began so maybe I'm missing information here but aren't the facts basically that a very mentally ill young man killed three small children.
His ethnicity, religion or immigration status don't seem relevant to that.
He used a knife, but that's not really relevant as it's not a carrying for protection/respect thing in this case and unless we want to have all food pre pulped and only eat with spoons it's impossible to prevent access to blades with lethal potential.
Any protest arising from this tragedy that isn't about the parlous state of mental health services is at the very least misguided. This is just the most recent and possibly most tragic of a long list of killings which may have been preventable if Thatcher hadn't closed most of our mental health facilities. (Apologies to those triggered by Thatcher bashing, I know she had some positives but it's amazing how many problems were born under her stewardship)
