That is one scenario. The distance is 3000 km. A while ago, @raymondo pointed out there were many Ukrainians living in Russia. I googled it to find the 2015 Russian census puts the number at 5.8 million, or 4% of the total Russian Federation. That's around the same as Scotland or Norway.

Planes and tanks seem to be pretty useless in this war. It seems modern warfare is dominated by artillery > drones > infantry contact ?

Russia using their plane launched glide bombs to devastating effect sadly. But yes, drones absolutely critical.

Thanks that’s interesting. As you say, some NATO members are nearer to Murmansk than Ukraine though I’m not sure they would stage/host such an attack currently. Which means, if launched from Ukraine, the drones would have travelled undetected across Russia for several hundred miles. More likely in my view, they were launched within Russia.
