I drove over with a mate from HH
His sister was based in Aldershot with the army (nurse) and got us tickets.
Seem to remember it vaguely but it was nearly half a century ago ....

Remember it well. I was at school but my mate went. Apparently there was a bit of 'bovver' straight afterwards. Albion had started the season pretty well but were poor that night. The match was the start of a long run of winless matches until the December that ultimately cost them promotion, despite an excellent New Year.

I was there with my Dad and a mate. I was 16, and full of confidence that we’d walk over teams like Aldershot. I’ve often thought about this game when I’ve started to get carried away with how invincible we are In any particular campaign.
