He was the Premiership manager caught in the brothel.

I'm shocked.

Gianfranco Zola goes into a brothel, strips naked and asks "How much?" The amused prostitute looks at his little man and says, "Twenty five pounds."
"Twenty five pounds?" asks Zola incredulously. He searches through his wallet and says, "I only have five pounds for now but I can give you the rest once Upson is sold in January."

Avram Grant goes into a brothel, strips naked and asks "How much?" The horrified prostitute, in an effort to put him him off says, "Two thousand pounds."
"Two thousand pounds?" asks Grant incredulously.
The tart looks at his saggy man and replies, "For you, it's a snip!"

Mark Hughes is snapped coming out of a brothel. An incredulous journalist asks, "What do you think you're doing?"
Hughes replies, "I used to work here".

..and from Wiki...

On Boxing Day 2009 Coyle was identified as the Premier League manager caught by paparazzi visiting a 'massage parlour' (read brothel) earlier in the month. Upon spending an hour in the establishment, Coyle questioned by the reporter if he was aware that it was indeed a brothel. Coyle smiled and replied "Yes".

Coyle is threatening all newspapers with legal action should they name him, but it has been confirmed (by photograph) that the manager in question was indeed Owen Coyle.

I don't get why these stories keep referencing the Max Mosley incident.

In that case the papers accused him of nazi-esque sex games. Through the courts he won a libel case because of the media's referencing of nazis.

Why does that relate to a manager going to a massage parlour and admitting it is also known to be a brothel? That isn't about putting a libellous spin on anything, is it?

I'm glad it wasn't Zola! Two of my favourite people falling off their pedestals in the one year would be more than I can bear....

(Tiger was sadly the other...seems I knew very little about him)
