I'd be curious as to who would have claimed that he would not score goals at 'this level' considering some truly abysmal players have done so in the past.

Who was he over-rated by? Most people I know that have seen him play knew he was a class act. His record proves he's a class act. I'm not sure how anyone ever thought he was over-rated.

Worried he might be over the hill, maybe, rather than over-rated?

There's a thread on here from last July or August where more than one poster said he was overrated and would be found out in the Prem.

I've hated them since I was 11.Had a sneaking admiration for West Ham for a few years. Well, they did win the World Cup.
