It seems to be based on the premise that there is something not quite right with the Italian legal system.

Similar to the Kenneth Brannagh Wallanders, yes. Nothing like as good as the two Swedish Wallander's, shown on BBC4 though.

Watch again. There is at least one Irish accent!!! That said, thought it was good viewing for a sunday evening.
