“My heart is with my old teams Brighton and Bristol Rovers. I still speak to old team-mates and the kit men at those clubs.

One of the first things I did when I was on crutches was to go and see Brighton and catch up with the guys.

Brighton is massive to me and I’m over the moon with what Gus Poyet is doing there.”

Legend.

Never go back!

Normally I'd agree, but this is Bobby.

I really think he could come back here and spend a season not being able to hit a barndoor and it wouldn't make a single bit of difference to his overall legacy.

Completely agree. I think if he came back in a couple of years he would be a different player than he was before. Much more of a complete footballer than a goalscorer.

 He could turn up, sit in the away end in a Palace shirt waving a Portsmouth season ticket and i'd still love him!

The man played upfront as a lone striker for much of his career here, at our standard i'd say he was a fairly complete footballer as much as he was our goalscorer anyway

We really have been blessed with some magnificent strikers in recent(ish) years, from Peter Ward to Kurt Nogan to Bobby Zamora to Leon Knight to the new mature Glenn Murray.

Although the footballing wisdom says never go back, I can easily see BZ back here and picking up where he left off.

Never re-marry the ex-wife.
Zamora WAS a legend. He scored 15 (ish) goals in div 1 last time for us.

O what am I saying, I would have him back tomorrow!

I would take him back for the remainder of this season to help him get fit but would hope that by the time he is in a position to return permenantly we would have risen above the level he could play at.
