I watched the first half and we were the better team. Gargan was good and swa a great header hit the bar. Had to leave to get back for the kids, as my good lady wanted to go out. Having seen how we played in the first half I'm surprised we lost so convincingly.

So what are you expecting then? They can only be as good as the players that are around in they're age group! If we can find 1 or 2 gems then it aint that bad is it?

Based on the first 45 mins, I'd say Gargan and Cobbs are easily potential first-teamers. Gargan to me looks better than when I saw Gatting in the youth team last year. Winterton in goal looked ok, but the central defence (Pearson & Martin) looked suspect. By the way, "Dean" as a name is now old hat for the youth team - there are two "Kane"s. And guess what, Bristol City had a certain Mark Magee on the bench

Because it's a brand new, inexperienced team, as last years team are in the first team, as Safeway has pointed out!

It was always going to be difficult to try and match what we did last year, espically with half of the youth team from last season are now in the first team.
