Your worst stand-up comedian

Gervais.

Unfunny, vastly over-rated and can't improvise (as anyone who remembers him utterly dying on his arse at Live Earth due to technical difficulties delaying whoever was meant to be following him will attest).

People laud him for 'clever comedy', but for my money his stuff is not half as clever as the likes of Ronnie Barker were capable of.

Bang on the money. The Office was shit too.

Jo Brand. Talentless unfunny and sexist munter.

Arthur Smith - sarcastic sneery twat

Jeremy Hardy. I can't begin to describe how I hate that IRA loving, "oh Britain is sooo crap except for me and my leftie mates" nobber.

Rory Bremner - you're just not funny and all your impressions sound the f***ing same.

French and Saunders - natch, tedious screamy harridans.

Arnold Brown. Alternative comedian? Still supposed to be funny though, you scotch git.

Peter Kay. How many naff short term nostalgia can you cram into one act? Dull, dull, dull.

Lenny Henry - boring. No amount of blackness covers that.

Allan Carr. Yes, you're gay. get over it.

Controversial but I'll also add Stephen Fry. Is there a smugger man in Britain?

In Fry's defence, he is hardly a stand-up comedian is he?

I would rather watch QI than most stand-ups doing the rounds at the moment

I think I'd be smug if I could act, write, present, give speeches, do comedy, not to mention be a Quizmeister. He's a f***ing genius, a National Treasure and totally untouchable.

Definitely Lee Evans. I have never once laughed at anything he has said, and constantly wonder how on earth he is as highly rated as he is.

My thoughts exactly. I think people all jump on the bandwagon because it is supposedley trendy thing to like him.

But it is all down to opinion I guess, but as far as im concerned he is extremely over rated!

The Office was clearly not shit. What a silly thing to say. It was some of the most beautifully written comedy I've ever seen, and blew every other UK sitcom out of the water at the time.

Its up there with Blackadder, Fawlty Towers and Partidge as far as I'm concerned.

Little Al is a Palarse fan so his idea of humour is what trots out at Selhurst Park once a fortnight.

:ohmy::lolol:

Lee Evans is one of the most untrendy comedians to like due to the fact that he is so famous and quite 'populist'. For trendy comedians see Eddie Izzard, Simon Amstell, Stewart Lee etc.

I don't like Evans as much as I used to but I still think he's a talented guy. I'd say it's actually more trendy to dislike him, just like with anyone when they become big.

I re-edited your tirade and got a pretty good description of you;

I see what you are saying but I just go from experience. By that I mean people at work think the sun shines out of his backside and friends of mine went to see him at Brighton just becuase everyone else is. I certainly dont think HE is trendy but people are like sheep in general arent they? People do things because everybody else does and they want to be seen as doing the "in" thing.

Which is exactly my theory about Michael McIntyre, someone who certainly isn't trendy and who's act is (imho) rubbish, but because he's a fresh face and all over the entertainment pages everyone snaps up his tickets for precisely the reasons you give above.
