Playing wicket keeper, I came up too close to the stumps for a medium pacer. The batsman tried a hook, missed the ball, but got me right in the chops.

Probably, not that i want to try though, it really hurts when it happens!

Maybe fingers are different, or more likely my mates just proves the old saying about "no sense no feeling." He's not the brightest star in the galaxy.

To do it once is unfortunate, to do it twice is downright bloody careless.:lolol:

Lost a tooth in a swimming pool by catching the side. Also lost some more fighting and damaged the tendons in my left shoulder, also cut my head open by being hit on the back of the head with a bottle, but I was alot younger then - although that does not really constitute sport does it!

Torn both cartlidges in my knees.
Damaged my left Miniscus & Cruciate ligament and cracked patella.
Had to have 2 operations to repair them.

Split my wrist open white water rafting.

I am little older and feel it.

:lolol:

also i once escaped serious head injuries when a coconut impacted heavily with my head aged 10. Fortunately i was saved by the Brighton and Hove Albion polystyrene hard hat i was wearing.

Let me think, the ones that spring to mind are
nearly losing an ear when getting kicked in the face playing football. On an upnot of me not losing my ear was that my cheek was smashed and the fracture went from my ear to just under my eye socket. Broke my leg in 2 places tackling someone 7 minutes into my come back game from ripping my knee ligaments. Dislocated my hip stretching for a ball. Last season fractured a bone in my foot and have now got a double hernia.

In cricket I have had 2 concussions a broken nose and finger and collar bone.

Had numerous groin strains hamstrings etc but still play when I can:shootself

I will learn one day that I should not play contact sports but knowing my luck if I played Tiddly winks I would end up blinding myself:dunce:

Just as well no such injury really exists but I've often wished it had so I could hear football reporters say the magic words. " Gerrard is out of Engalnd's crucial world Cup qualifier- he has a hairline fracture of the cock."

My worst 3 in reverse order are:

3/. Torn Hamstring

2/. Pull back muscle. (Still affects me sometime 9 years later by going into spasm)

1/. THREE broken metatarsals at the same time. BEAT THAT BECKS!!!:p
