I’m 37 so started watching football properly from the early 90’s. Off the top of my head:

1. Messi;
2. Iniesta;
3. Xavi;
4. Brazilian Ronaldo;
5. Matt Le Tissier.

Heavily influenced by Pep’s Barca obviously, by far and away the greatest side I’ve ever seen. Albion aside, I’ve never enjoyed watching football more than when watching them play.

1 George Best
2 Denis Law
3 Kenny Dalglish
4 Glenn Hoddle
5 Jimmy Greaves

I've only included players I have watched at a football ground

I also saw these five and would likely choose the same except not sure if/how I could somehow get Lawrenson and/or Bobby Charlton and Dave Mackay in somehow. And yes, Lawrenson really was that good.

Agreed, nice comment from one of the commentators, (4min 30 sec.) " Interesting confrontation between the 2 fastest players in English football Gary Lineker & Mark Lawrenson"
Lawrenson's father should have been tied to a ducking stall, for advising a young Mark the career move of playing for Ireland instead of Engand .

Five players that I regard as the most under-rated in terms of ability

1. Johnny Giles
2. Paul Breitner
3. Stan Bowles
4. Andrea Pirlo
5. Pat Jennings
