Birchall Jarrett Livermore(c) Carole

--------Davies Murray--------

Fecking 'eck - I missed Murray out. I honestly forgot him!

Anyways, My team is pretty much similar, except I went for Cox instead of Carole. I wanted to go for Carole, but I went for Cox because I believe Carole can change a game after coming off the bench.

Some interesting decisions that confirm some things that are glaringly obvious and create some more questions with others.

Interesting, although not surprising considering the lack of depth that the 2 full backs are shoe-ins. I really rate Whing but I thought the opinion in some quarters on here was that he was shit, i guess it's a case of a vocal minority.

Also the fact that we've now got competetion up front means that 1/3 of NSCers wouldn't start the club captain! Interesting, although for me i'd still say when fully fit Forster and Murray are the best strikers at the club.

The 2 biggest things for me are the centre of midfield. I guess it's still down to a lack of competition and also knowing what the players are capable of by what they've done in the past but the 2 highest scoring players are Livermore and Jarrett. Surely Micky can see that those 2 are the centre midfield pairing he should be looking to try, even if you just look at it on reputation alone?

For me it'd be:

Kuipers

Whing - Elphick - Virgo - McNulty
Birchall - Jarrett - Livermore - Carole
Forster - Murray

Although I have to say i'm not a big fan of Carole on the left so i wouldn't have a problem woth Cox playing instead. I also thought Jarrett was shit in the only game i've seen him play (Peterborough) although I certainly expect better when he's match fit, Fraser and El Abd are both capable deputies for this position. Also I think we have 4 decent strikers now so in conclusion, WE REALLY SHOULDN'T BE IN THE FECKING RELEGATION ZONE!

In order, unless I've got this wrong, the most wanted XI are...

Whing
McNulty
Jarrett
Livermore
Elphick
Carole
Kuipers
Birchall
Davies
Forster
Virgo

A few things leap out from there.

1. Livermore is a very popular player who is not being played.
2. Five of the eleven have only arrived in the past three weeks. They need time to bed in, but prospects are hopeful.
3. Those eleven do represent a coherent 4-4-2. Unfortunately, there has not been the opportunity to play all eleven in one go yet.
4. The even-ish split of votes between Forster, Murray and Davies suggests that about two-thirds of NSC cannot agree on any given front pairing.

I think it would be a choice of Murray OR Davies alongside Forster.

I wouldn't pick Elphick in defence for the time being, but I would like to see Virgo played at centre back.
