Amazing scenes. Reading being voted 'Least Favourite Team' in the whole country by the supporters of a medium-sized Sussex town 100 miles away and a division lower.

Well, we're flattered, of course. But shouldn't you be concentrating your fire on a local rival like Worthing or Crawley Town?

nice one whitley. reading are a nothing club with no history, shit fans and pathetic support. granted, the stadium is nice and you've attracted a couple of fancy names but i'd be an albion supported over a reading one any day of the week. just that bit more fun.

If Reading are such a nothing club, why are the supporters of a team a division below us and many miles distant getting in such a state about us that we are apparently thier most hated team in the entire universe?

Strange.???

Man Ure. I can't stand them, their cheating players, their glory supporters, their double standards and the way that all the British tabloid papers cum all over themselves when Shrewd Van Diverboy poaches a cheap goal (usually offside or a dubious penalty).

Probably because your chairman stole our manager having said he wouldn't steal a manager, your last manager stole our best player and you still think it's weird that we hate you. I bet you all love West Ham? Right?

But still given the 4 options I voted Man U. They are the only other side that can instill the same feelings as those Palarse scummers. They really do think the whole league revolves around them.

Magnanimous of me eh?

If it lessens the blow about Sidwell at all, he as all over the local Reading paper last week saying he was a Palace die-hard as a kid and used to stand on the terraces at Jongleurs SE25. Strange, don't seem to remember him being quite so keen to share that piece of information at Withdean...

Erm... I don't hate West Ham. I don't find any need to hate whole clubs, apart from local rivalry which is not "hate", its just an excuse for two/three clubs not to like each other.

I vent anger on particular people. Alan Pardew, wherever he goes, but not West Ham. Ditto Mr McGhee though obviously finding that a bit difficult at the moment what with his current job. Warren Barton, just for being shit and looking like a gypo, not to mention stamping on Martin Butler.

So you don't hate Reading at all then, you hate Madejski. Fair enough, I can see why you might think that after the Coppell saga. But if Coppell left to go to QPR or something, you'd feel the same about their results. But its not "hate", and its not even close to making us the most despisable team in the league. Pardew was about 3/4 of the reason why Brighton got a bit of a cob on about Reading and the rest is Madejski/Coppell. Quite rightly pissed off an' all, I can see the case of the prosecution.

Now, Portsmouth on the other hand. God I can't stand them. 7 fingered inbred shite fans. Suddenly think that they're the bees knees after being crap for about 50 years, and still bleat on about winning "back to back championships" straight after the war, when the whole league system was fecked. Places like Coventry hardly had football teams because surprisingly they had to focus most investment on rebuilding their whole bloody city. Whereas the Germans flew over Portsmouth, took one look, and decided that it looked like somebody had already bombed the place.
