1951 indeed seems a little bit shite. The only 50s music I really listen to is when I occasionally have a Perez Prado night, when I'm in the mood for mambo.

For my year, 1989... not the best year really as I'm not really into 80s stuff all that much. It was either before or after most of the stuff I like. Michael Jacksons "Smooth Criminal" is alright I guess.

Unfortunately there were only 6 weeks of charts in 1952 as NME stared them 20 Nov. Ballad of High Noon is the only one I’ve heard since.
