I expect this thread has been done before. But ......

Always cited this Frank Worthington effort ever since I was a whipper snapper.

When my 8yr old asked me my favourite goal of all time, I had no hestitation in describing this beauty again, & again, & again......( although I've been describing it for years with Frank in a Leicester shirt  )

So what's your favourite ?

P.S. So far, my boy describes with relish, Cox's goal against Swansea at Withdean last season. Glen Murray's last week has him drooling too.

Reinelt, Storer, Hurst for historical significance in their respective contexts, Gazza against Scotland in 96, Virgs against Swindon, Owen against Argentina in 98 (bloody hell, can't believe that was 10 years ago this summer!) and Ronaldinho against Chelsea where he swerved it with the outside of his foot and left Cech doing a passable impression of a statue.

For shear and uncontrolled excitement, Robbie at Hereford, although the Jimmy Case free kick in 1983 at Highbury and Deano's in 91 are right up there.

For club Robbie Reinelt's goal at Hereford simply because it kept us in the league. For England Owen's goal against Argentina. I too can't believe it was 10 years ago

Owens goal against Argentina sends a shiver down my spine- it reminds me of being at univerisity, being drunk, promiscuity, homelands and the summer of love - ten years ago - f***ing hell !!!!!

This little beauty. Last minute of extra time against Belgium, Italy 1990. Gazza's free kick to Platt who hit the volley with the ball coming over his shoulder.

Cue absolute pandemonium in the Amex Social club. About 30 seconds before we scored, a mate said "Stuff this I'm going for a slash before the penalty shoot out" and missed the goal.

I love Linekers face in the bundle of England players

Too many to say, the truly great goals are the ones which are 'like no other'... I'll go for Beckham .v. Wimbledon or that goal where George Weah rounded the entire team before scoring.
