Isaac Hayes score for Shaft; not a great movie maybe, but the score manages to be both seedy and upbeat at the same time and is perfect for the film.

I've been very fortunate enough to see Hans Zimmer live three times now and each time just got better and better.

I'm also a huge fan of Thomas Newman (American Beauty, Road to Perdition, Shawshank Redemption and Adjustment Bureau)

But Hans Zimmer - WOW.
