All this talk about getting the old boys out and bringing the young guns in. Who would you start in your new look England 11 when we play Hungary?

I would have.

Joe Hart

Ashley Cole
Micheal Dawson
Rio Ferdinand (Purely because he's captain)
Glenn Johnson

Adam Johnson
James Milner
Jack Rodwell
Steven Gerrard
Ashley Young

Wayne Rooney.

Sensible man. A change of formation would do the world of good for our players. It dosent need wholesale changes.

Just Hart is obvious.

By moving Gerrard behind Rooney Johnson can come in.
And hopefully Hargreaves gets fit who is a proper holding midfielder.

Impressed me last season at Everton. I think he would do well and now would be a good time to see if hes up to International standard.

Nothing to do with the press suddenly latching onto him and bigging him up despite him not playing much last year then?

I simply cannot forgive Gerrard, Lampard, Terry for that World Cup. Whatever the excuses. its not good enough. Anyone associated with the with a couple of exceptions, should be out.

I'll go for:

-----------------Hart-----------------
-G. Johnson--Dawson--Ferdinand--Cole-
Walcott--Rodwell--Wilshere--A. Johnson
---------Zamora-----Rooney-----------

Its a bit mental but its a change and I think thats what is needed. A mixture of experienec and youth and less egos.

-----------------James-----------------
-M.Richards--Terry--Lescott--J.Cole-
A. Johnson--Lampard--Hargreaves--J.Cole
---------Gerrard-----Rooney-----------

Note.- If hargreaves not fit then replace with huddlestone

To be honest, hadn't seen it until you had mentioned it. I wouldn't say that saying your available for selection is the press "bigging him up."

Out of interest, who would you select?

Not sure. Certainly wouldn't be picking youngsters who have next to no experience of club football yet. If they play badly, which chances are they will, then they'll be crucified and could well spell the end of their careers before they start.

Wouldn't make huge changes, just tweak the system a tad

What has James done wrong?

I agree Hart looks the man for the future but it may be a bit too early for him.

Bloody hell man ! he is 40 years of age ! 42 by the time the Euros come !

if there is one position that is obvious to start bringing in a young player its teh keeper and has to be Hart, he should be told he is now the keeper for the next campaign

Give Peter Shilton a call....what did he ever do wrong to deserve being dropped !

What's with the flipping 4-5-1 formation. We are English, we play 4-4-2.

Most clubs play that way and we need to play that way to score enough goals to win something.

We need players who can pass the ball and players who will run and press the opposition.

Hart
Richards Terry Dawson Cole
Wallcott Carrick Lampard Cole
Rooney Defoe.

Lampard, Gerrard and Rooney cannot play together in a team as they all try to fill the space between the midfielders and the centrebacks.
Rooney is best with a pacey striker who takes the centrebacks away from him to create the space in the hole.
