What do you think would have happened if he had stayed? After all that has happened lately, it wouldn’t be a fairytale ‘live happily ever after’ story. Bloom really had no option than to part company.
Fans may not necessarily be pleased he is gone, but given the circumstances and taking into account the long term wellbeing of the club, (and no one does that more than Bloom) an awful lot of ‘idiots’ will be relieved.

I think he would have been backed, players back from injury, and we would have had a strong start. If he shored up defence, we would be exceptional again.

It is done now, only history will tell if it is the right decision.

A knee-jerk 3. Which I accept is probably unfair, harsh, immature and short-sighted to list but a few adjectives and demonstrates the supposed memory of a goldfish. (Perhaps I need a history lesson). After all, we've just had our first season in Europe, and as there can only be one overall winner I don't think it's overstating it to say it was pretty successful as we won our tough group. Plus we've finished mid-table, and never at any time were we remotely close to being involved in a relegation fight.

But .... Our form fell off a cliff since Rome, and it's now obvious that our recruitment last summer wasn't up to our usual standard. At the moment I feel we have passed 'Peak Albion' and next year will NOT be pretty. I foresee a relegation struggle with a lot of tonkings - including two by a resurgent Palace.

And I really hope someone can bounce this post next season and laugh at how stupidly pessimistic I was.

Low, but maybe expectations were too high. Gutted RDZ is gone, worried we will loose a couple more key players like Gross, Mitoma, Adingra... I need a mental health break from all this.

Excitement - it’s a new chapter. As much as I’ll miss RDZ the opportunity has arisen for someone else to build on the phenomenal talent already at the club.

I just cannot see BHAFC ever playing the football again De Zerbi had us playing season 22/23. That was Champagne and likely the best team BHAFC have ever had or likely to have before the squad was broken up and sold. I feel 24/25 will be a battle to not get relegated with a dour manager in charge. The excitement has gone

I’m actually quite glad the season is over. It felt to me like RDZ’s style had been “found out” and teams had figured a way to counter it. Losing March and Mitoma (and Adingra for AFCON) left our attack rather threadbare and bereft of ideas. The lack of a plan B when plan A wasn’t working was particularly frustrating.
We’ve looked poor since Luton turned us over (with the exception of the 4-1 over Palace and 0-5 over Sheffield U).
A few changes on the pitch and a new manager with time to gel the squad and I’ll be optimistic in August (unless it’s David Moyes and Jordan Henderson).

I'll be honest, I'm on a bit of a knife-edge. I trust Bloom almost completely, although the realisation that the last time we lost a manager because we didn't meet his ambition in the transfer market (for FFP reasons) we ended up with Sami Hyypia.

A lot has changed since then, not to mention the entire backroom team, but that feeling of uneasiness still lingers.

On De Zerbi, I'm actually strangely heartbroken (footballing-wise). That video of him after the game made me realise both how amazing he was and how much he did for us, whilst also reminding me that almost all the clips were from pre-Jan. The transfer window killed him mentally I feel, and as a result I don't think we were ever getting that De Zerbi back.

So right now, I'm a fairly flat 4/10, however, because I'm a football optimist, I know I'll be back to 8/9 by the time the new season starts

Currently a five. I've had the best experiences as a Brighton fan this season but my god it's been painful since January. Yes in theory having March, Mitoma, Ferguson, Hinshelwood, Enciso and Pedro fit and firing should be a reason to be optimistic, as well as the likes of Barco, JP and Bart, but we all know football doesn't work like this. I dunno, I'm a big believer in momentum and think we've got a lot of work this summer to give everyone a lift.

We will finish in a European spot next season (barring an equally unlucky injury list, although hopefully the new medical team will put a stop to that).

Disappointed at where we ended up this season, mixed feelings about RDZ, and excited to see who the new manager will be, and who he brings in (staff and players).
I'm looking forward to all the speculation.

I remember feeling bereft when Potter buggered off, but that feeling soon wore off. RDZ brought an energy to the club. It's a shame he couldn't sustain it.

Gone for 8 as on and off the pitch we have so much potential, promise and plenty of returning talent.

Just want to stay at least that high or move up with a good summer with a couple additions more than we loose (only counting players we don't want to in the against column) and a decent manager we've never heard of or at least not a household overhyped name.

A one at the moment for all sorts of reasons. A real end of term / end of era feeling about yesterday. United are our bunnies too. The failure to finish our chances in the first half killed me a little inside.

But get the next coaching appointment right and have a good transfer window, maybe see some injured players back and I'll be a 10 ahead of the first game of next season.

I make no apologies for being bi polar when it comes to the Albion. That's how it's always affected me.
