MK.Dons spent the friday night up there in the hotel overlooking the pitch , went to a few pubs before hand and all were pretty much full of Brighton supporters friday night so it was a good start .

Matchday ended up by the canal and the pub was rammed with Brighton inside and out , on leaving for the game a lad who thought it would be a good idea to roll down the embankment failed to stop and ended up in the drink luckily for him he had 10 or so equally inebriated chums to fish him out , he was fine .

The atmosphere that day was just electric 7500 away fans for a league 1 game , ridiculous.

The best bit was their penalty miss and the players coming over at the end of the game to celebrate with the fans .

Loved that matchday .

it has to be Newcastle 79

But 2 years earlier to that a 2-0 win at Roker Park was great

3-0 win at Palace '81
Wardy hat-trick at Wolves
The Baseball Ground in the league cup when we lost 2-1
1-1 at Portman Road,Stevens last minute equaliser was fun

Off the top of my head

The 4-1 at Leicester on a Tuesday when we had nothing to play for and they were still pissed from their promotion party. Basically ripped them apart in the first half. Proper party poopers that night

Also recall an away day mid week at Charlton (think it was 2009).

During the Withdean years there were times when our away support was immense

Ulloa on fire and he also played well at the Amex, was the reason Pearson was desperate to get him!

I remember away games to the likes of Exeter, Torquay, York, Carlisle, Darlington, Lincoln, Rochdale et al....half a dozen cans of stella on the train up = usually shitfaced by the time we arrived in the relevant town/city but great great memories, to say nothing of promotion/relegation critical away weekends/days i.e. Bristol, Shrewsbury x 2, Port Vale, Nottingham, Grimsby.

As a child my favourite was 2-2 away at Liverpool in 1991 (?) after being 2-0 down. To a 10 year old the idea that my team could get that result against Barnes Rush etc was incredible.

That 3-0 at Peterborough, I was so euphoric, the football we played that day as a league 1 club was just unreal, poor old CMS run his socks off but we were different gravy, listening to 606 after to our fans gushing was great.

IIRC, that was 2 weeks after a 0-4 away win at Charlton. I was at both and couldn't quite believe I'd witnessed two consecutive away wins with an aggregate 0-7 scoreline!

Are we not allowed to say Hereford! Because it's gonna be Hereford - when Gerry Armstrong scored the winner in extra time! Just kidding, Hereford away when we stayed up, then the Charlton Peterborough Poyet games - just sublime. I'd love to get them both on dvd or whatever you watch things on these days, and run them on a loop for 24 hours!

Cambridge away in the 97 season the last away game before Hereford I think it was, vital point and great scenes
I mean, Hereford for sheer unbridled joy and stopping at every services on the way home to celebrate
Lincoln away last day of the season for beach day

Any number of London away days I can barely remember at Fulham, QPR, Orient when someone threw a pastie at the linesman

Bristol Rovers away (okay a home one for me) in the great escape season under Russell Slade. With OGH reprising his career as a speedy forward...Adam Hinshelwood almost jumping into the crowd when we went 2-1 up and the fact that the atmosphere all evening was awesome. Being home 10 minutes later made it good as well.

Palace away 81 when we won 3-0.
Hereford 97, no explanation needed.
Liverpool 83, famous FA Cup victory.
Spurs away 81 when we beat them 1 -0.
