Youngsters fancy drinks

Went to a family party tonight in a pub function room and had a few drinks but then the younger members of the family started on Jagger Bombs and Tequila Rose. 10 of each later I decided I wanted a proper drink what are these all about. Arrived at 8,00pm and left The Warwick in Worthing at 1.30 and didn't feel as if I had had a drink. What are these fancy drinks all about to me it appears that they are a take on.

I am told by my nephews that the young uns use these 'shots' to get drunk quicker but I couldnt see it.

Mind you the Tequilas Rose was very nice to drink.

They don't work very well for me either, though a few sambucas seem to wake up the other booze I've drunk and remind it to give me a kicking.
Extensive research in my youth uncovered snakebite black topped up with a double vodka and a pernod to be a good approximation of a pan galactic gargleblaster.

That was very popular, Snakes Blood as the customers called it, when I had a pub in Guildford that was frequented by student nurses.

I'm 19, and after some bad experiences with Vodka, Tequila and some other shots one night in Hastings, I won't be returning to them any time soon. I'll stick to my Cider and occasional Snakebite (Black).

A number of pubs banned snakebite but allowed you to buy a pint of Lager then when half way down buy half cider so mixing it ypourself. We had one customer in Midhurst who mixed Special brew with Diamond White to make his, mind you he had Gold Label instead of tea for breakfast.
