For this one time only, have a gander at the RFC one! (no really).

You may be interested in the topic, which is that Exeter City FC owe us £8,000 and are deferring payment to us. 13 clubs out of 15 have waived payments to help the club out, but RFC is standing firm.

I'd be interested to know the BHA view. Bear in mind that despite "image", we are not a cash-rich club, we are a business and not a "chairman's play thing" as is often perceived.

The Exeter City chairman and a board member are posting on the thread too :)ohmy: ). I've had my say (as poster Friday's Child). I'd be interested to know your thoughts...

Strange situation I'd agree - perhaps with regards to what some Reading fans are saying on there it's worth comparing us with Reading - they are much better off than us yet we still agreed to write off half the debt whereas they didn't.

I'll see what the Exeter supporters round here think, could be interesting.

We were owed nearly 8 grand yet agreed to receive just under half of it. Funny that in our financial difficulties we were prepared to let Exeter off but John Madjeski demanded full payment. This after you got their manager. I guess Mr Madjeski didn't get where he is today by being charitable.

Had to laugh at the 7 quid that Rochdale were owed. They accepted half of that debt!

interesting

should we have accepted half the debt, when all the fans are putting money in their pockets for alive and kicking fund?

hmmmmm. not sure how I feel about that. Nice gesture but....

I think the club have done exactly the right thing, as they did over the whole Wickes issue. Yes we are short of cash, but that does not mean we will accept dirty money (Wickes) or help push a club which is even closer to the edge over it, as Exeter genuinely are.

Did they buy Jamie Campbell off us?

I don't remember a fee being involved, but we should be eternally grateful to them for taking Campbell off our hands. Perhaps we paid them.

Perhaps we agreed to take 50p in the pound as a token of thanks for taking him?

Well Done Brighton.

I was Exeter for 3 years at Uni and watched the Grecians loads. I'd hate it if they went under.

I don't think Reading and Cambridge come out of this with much credit.

It's pretty sad that Exeter couldn't pay Cambridge 7 quid .... and even sadder that Cambridge accepted the £3.50:shootself
