My mailing list from Reading FC has just come into my inbox.

ROYALS TO ANNOUNCE NEW SIGNING AT 6PM TONIGHT!

Join our SMS service to be the first to find out more!

Reading Football Club are on the verge of signing a new international player, and will be able to reveal his identity at 6pm this evening.

It is thought that the new player is not one of the many players that have been linked with the Royals over the summer, and his acquisition will come as a surprise just two days after the start of the season.

To get the identity of the new player before anybody else, sign up to our official Royals SMS service and get details sent straight to your phone at 6pm!

For the first interview with Omar, go to Reading World later!

 Muppets! I reckon he might be called Omar.

Omar Daley had a trial with West Brom before last season.

I saw him play in the Nigeria v Jamaica freindly at Loftus road just before his trial with West Brom, he looked quite useful.

all the best non-has-beens wait something like 15 years for a follow up hit do they then?

he's probably the most respected soul singer in this country at present, just because he's not a major label doesn't mean he's not making quality music.

well you might know you're hip hop, but clearly you know jack-shit about soul music.

he's a mildly well-respected old has-been knocking around such places as the jazz cafe.

do you argue with everybody and on every subject?

come on name 5 better uk soul singers at the moment, you can't cos there aren't any. In fact name 5 better falsettos in the WORLD at the moment (now come if u know music u should be able to contend that challenge).

Among RnB heads across the world Omar is 1 of the best kept secrets. search a site like okayplayer.com (which is the most respected RnB/Hiphop website in the world) and u will find omars name there among the all time greats.
