The Old Firm are scum. I've said this before but they are both two sides of the same sectarian coin. They need each other more than they would care to admit and most OF fans would be happy to play each other every week.

I have very good friends who are both reasonable and non-bigoted Rantic fans however there is a significant minority for whom this rivalry has nothing to do with football. Visit the A&E departments in Glasgow after an OF derby - full of sectarian stabbings.

The thing that annoys me most of all is the total lack of respect for Scotland. At the UEFA cup final there was no sign of a saltire or a lion rampant but thousands of tricolours. At Hun games, UnioN jACKS, Ulster flags, even England flags but a saltire is a rarity. The sooner they are kicked out of Scottish football the better.

And, yes, they are effectively one club. Politically, they are identical - they always vote the same way in all SPL and SFA votes and they say the same things about every topic under the sun.

I used to go regularly when I lived in Embra for 6 years 1987 to 93. There were some of the worst bigots I've ever met then. We had BNP in Lochend.

Anyway my Mrs is a staunch Celtic fan born and bred in the East End of Glasgow, Parkhead. So, unfortunately I've adopted Celtic ahead of my local teams Alloa Athletic (sorry Badger) and Stirling Albion.

I've been most disgusted with the minority scum at Aberdeen. I was at the pre-season friendly v Liverpool. They set off a distress flare aimed at "Spider" Mellor missing him by a couple of feet and bouncing up into the opposite stand causing a fire (the flare not Mellor).

Never saw a thing in the press or anything from Aberden FC condemning the incident. Any arrests Aberdeen?
