My stepfather was a bright Orange Glaswegian protestant. When we visited his family (he came from Springburn in Glasgow) we weren't even allowed to mention Celtic, not even to be rude about them.

I thought it best not to say I was a Republican sympathiser and had supported Celtic since 1967.

I met a desent Celtic fan about a month ago round my cousins house so we chatted footy over a few lines. He said he grew up with all that bigotry but when he moved south he got it out his system and now is just intrested in the football rivalry.
