Do we have to play Yelldell, or can he sit on the bench whilst Chris May gets a chance? He could not be much worse and it would give our own player experience.

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
Typical OVEREACTION.

The bloke virtually keeps us in the Leeds game and already its all over, maybe you should go along to the odd reserve game and watch May, he can at times be just as 'Ropey'

Even if you've seen both his games, I fail to see how you can make a judgement. If you've only seen the home game, even less so.

i agree seeen may play for the reserves and the youth team and why he does pull of some good saves yet to be convinced about him
yelldell looked nervous when warming up at leeds but once the game got started looked confident in everyway was brave, confident when coming for crosses, his distribution was good and he made some decent saves.on saturday i thought he looked nervous in front of a home crowd in wat must have been unusal surroundings and once he dropped the cross went to pieces but im confident that he will bounce back and pay an important part in keeping our championship status

I was not impressed on Saturday but at least give him the chance to work with John Keeley and see what transpires.
Quite amusing to see the name 'John Keeley' and the word 'work' in the same sentance.

Give the guy a break ffs...he's hardly played any REALLY competitive football in a couple of seasons.

He has only been at the club 10 days (8 when he played against one of the best sides in this division). Give him a chance to settle in ............

I'm with RT on this one, I went to both games and my judgement is reserved!

Don't forget the great save he made from Reid's mistake, and the decent one from Rasiak's chip. It wasn't all bad from Yelldell, but he certainly can't afford another mistake of the level of the 2nd goal.

The people near me were reacting well over the top. Shouting abuse at him for kicking it not perfectly and kept telling him to 'get back in goal' even though the ball was up the other end.

The trouble is we're used and I dare say the defence is used to a vocal keeper but Yelldell is the best we have right now so slagging him off won't help and if we all get behind him it might give him the confidence he needs.
Maybe the next home game we should all come dressed as Afrika Korps ala Prince Harry to make him feel at home :jester:

I went to Leeds and the boy did well, but at home he made some mistakes, but the idiots near us in D Block do nothing for his confidence. When he went up and won the header they were shouting things like "Don't catch it in goal next time, head it."
Who are these idiots? Yes he looked shaky, but no wonder with comments like that. My daughter is so fed up with the home crowd that she's thinking about giving up her ST, and just go to away games

You can't drop a young player after one bad game. It would destroy him.

He was excellent at Leeds and we all know he made an error.

The good news was he was as gutted and gave the goal post a stud wack afterwards.

It's called passion, he cares and he'll get over this.

Agree with Beach Hut. Lets face it even Michel has been known to make the odd boob from time to time. I have to say I liked the Yelldell threw the ball out to the wings against Leeds; I thought Michel could learn something from that. He's also 6'5" isn't he? I like that in a keeper.
