That clearly is the case. Tho why not open a tiny wee section of the stadium, with an equally tiny wee provision for catering and stewarding?
I expect that due to the public being allowed all the areas have to be manned to a degree, even if there's only one stand open.

Well this should not be a reflection on the WSL. This is all on the referee (a bloke, Paul Howard) deeming the pitch playable in the first place.

Amateur hour.

The template existed a decade ago. First ever game at the Amex was the Sussex Senior Cup final between BHAFC and Eastbourne Borough

I genuinely hope womens football continues to progress but all these gripes about wages, facilities, under ground heating etc drives me mad. I think average gates are between 1 and 3k. and TV income is relatively small. Like Albion clubs have put huge resources in to get it going. When it starts to attract bigger gates and bigger interest from sponsors etc is the time to expect more. Interesting to know what Albions Womens section income is.

Assuming this went ahead due to the fact it was being shown by BBC so FA felt need to continue.

Who knows the potential interest while home games take place in Crawley. Fair play to the club for facilitating a WSL team, but why not go all-in on hosting home games at the Amex?

It is, but given the much higher incidence of things like ACL ruptures in the women’s game already, it was a monumentally stupid decision to play
In all seriousness why not make it a summer sport? It would get more support.

There’s a discussion to be had perhaps but I guess one issue would then be the pitches and the rest of the ground infrastructure being used all year round and not getting the usual summer maintenance/returfing etc (plus pitches being too hard/dry if not watered).

Perhaps TB needs to buy a local ground like Chelsea have.
