Announced late last night that the Nev Dickens/Geoff Moss are on the verge of completing their buy-out of Wrexham.

These guys bleed Wrexham AFC and are the fans' preferred bidders.

Dickens says they just need to dot a few i's and cross a few T's, but the deal has been agreed in principle with the afministrators. The Daily Post have run 3 pages on the buy-out this morning

Dickens is akin to Dick Knight 10 years ago ...

Superb news for Wrexham and for football in general

But the Dickens Consortium are only planning to stay at the Club for 12-18 months. What happens then?

Then they merge with Rotherham. Or something.

I think his plan is to get the cash flow sorted, get us out of debt (by developing the kop end) and then sell out to the Fans Trust or another like-minded individual.

Nev Dickens wants to save the club, he doesn't want to run the club.

There is a share issue planned, hopefully enough fans will buy part of thier club to safeguard us against any crook buying a majority shareholding as well as filling up the club's bank balance.

I know I'm planning to buy part of my club.
Today is a good day - there is work to do, but there is chink of light at the end of the tunnel.

HAMILTON OUT!

Best of luck, mate. You have all decent fans on your side. :thumbsup:

Cheers mate, and a big thank you to Brighton fans - you've played a big part too.

From the red-card protest two years ago, to signing petitions, to the Fans United day at Donny Rovers last year right down to simple advice and support.
Even the scorn poured on the Wrexham/Brighton scarf was good for a laugh too.

Brighton fans

All the best, lads. I hope you have a bright future and we can play each other again (in a higher division hopefully). Have some well-deserved :drink: on us. Oh for the day when corporate shysters no longer run football clubs (which probably won't happen for a long while). By the way, cmr, were you the Wrexham fan who was on the Labour Party Conference marches in Brighton?

I would love to say it was me and claim the credit, but it wasn't.

It wasn't OTLW was it?
He is slowly but surely defecting over to the red side!

Dickens 10 Point Plan:

* the club brought out of administration before the Football League deadline of June 3;

* football secured at the Racecourse ground;

* Wrexham FC put on a secure financial footing to enable it to go forward with cash reserves - rather than significant debts

* Denis Smith and his management team retained and given sufficient financial backing to allow them to compete at the top of their division

* the Racecourse car park area developed including an application for grant funding to enable construction of a new stand at the Kop end

* the appointment of a chief executive with a football and financial background to run the club, with any future board appointments to be determined by the chief executive;

* youth development pushed forward with a new state-of-the-art Astroturf facility at the Colliers Park training centre

* enlisting the support of the Wrexham Supporters Trust and Wrexham Supporters Association;

* the provision of as much information as possible to both the supporters and the press into what's happening at Wrexham

* and a share issue for all people who would like to invest in Wrexham's future

A statement on behalf of the club's administrators Robert Acland and Steven John Williams said: "We are pleased to announce that, after a series of meetings and discussions, we have entered into an exclusivity agree-ment with the consortium headed by Neville Dickens.

"The agreement allows for exclusivity until April 30, 2006, during which time it is hoped that contracts will be exchanged for acquisition of the club's assets."
