Wouldn't we prefer a smaller club in the next round?

Surely if we get a smaller team in the next round of the Carling Cup, it will give us a chance to rest a few players before the Leeds and Palace games and still have a good chance of winning. Then, get a 'top 4' club in the 4th round?

Smaller club away from home,.... Bristol Rovers or Rochdale would be just the job,... blood some fringe players,...... then if through, a nice home draw against a Prem team in front of a sellout.

I'd quite like a small team at home. Palace ideally, giving us two chances to batter them 6-0 in the space of a week.

small club away? makes no sense whatsoever!!!!! Split a gate of 3,000 or 17,000?
If it is a small club lets hope we get a home draw. Big club away, best in my opinion would be a London based prem team such as Arsenal or Chelsea as we would sell out the away section!!!! (If money is the issue)

A smaller team that we can beat in 90 minutes and rest half the squad. I'm concerned that Greer and Vincelot were injured last night and that Noone and many others played a hard 120minutes. And away from home so that there'll be no more ticket price controversy.

Either a very small team at home, giving us the chance to give the first team a well deserved rest and shift £15 tickets, hopefully enticing even more new visitors to the Amex OR one of the London PL giants at home

I'd like a small club as well. Let's get through to the latter rounds for once.

This - a bit like the FA Cup - seemed like something that would happen regularly when I first started following the Albion in 78-79, but Cup runs have proved far more difficult than my young mind ever realised.

A small club like Palace would suit me fine for this next round then maybe a big club like Wigan after that.

I'd love a small team at home give our youngsters a run out, or if away then arsenal my 1st choice, it's near and they play there reserve team and youth players in the cups so have a good chance of winning but as of late i'd say we would have a good chance against there 1st team !!!

This is why I dont want a small team- Gus would mix the team up a bit and after last nights resukt what a massive anti climax it would be to go out at home to someone shite- decent team please so we can play our best players
