Thank you Ernest us old boys know.

The major disaster was the loss of Keith Wickenden from the football clubs point of view because he kept Bambers feet on the ground. With him as eventual chairman there was no telling how far we could have gone but then I forgot no 1 man can run the club in case they rob us.

I'll ask again..rob what exactly?

We have nothing to be robbed of except living the highlife on the clubs expense and then leaving us in debt.

Didnt a director of Gillingham get sent to prison for nicking the gate receipts of one of the gates at Priestfield and not declaring it for tax etc. At the time Brian Moore the ITV commentator was also a director and resigned over the bad publicity that it got.

Sorry that is a bit of a random reply that I don't really follow. There are many that cite Archer and Stanley as the reason that no one man should ever have complete control, but in those days we had something to be stripped of. I really can't get my head around what any investor can possibly take from the club in it's current state that is going to get them a bigger return than their investment if he/they invest the 20 million pounds that this thread is about.

That is all

1. There was NEVER any suggestion by any of the people or groups of people that wanted to build at Beeding to build a stadium with a 75,000 capacity all groups had suggested a 20,000 with the facility and ability if needed to enlarge it as required.
2. I wasn't going to make any money out of us building a stadium anywhere.

I would suggest that you crawl back into your hole in the ground.

The most tragic trait of human nature is not to learn from history! So I would say no. Money talks, but all football clubs should be from and a part of the community but the regularors (FIFA, UEFA, FA) are all money grabbing bastards as well! Archer . nearly killed this club, so we should not let anyone else have the same opportunity

Until someone can give me a rational reason as to how or why a new 20 million or at least very large investor, with total control of the Albion in it's current state, would want to kill this club having invested millions I can only put posts like this, and many others on this thead, down to a ridiculous level of paranoia. NOT getting money in and quickly is the most likely way that this club will be killed imo, where will that leave the community club?

he has posted on here that he would have made a lot of money on the back of a commercial development/stadium complex.

he hates dick knightbecause knight with the backing of the fans got the albion and he never misses a chance to attack the board of the club i love.

he is poison

he is trying to turn us against dick knight because he holds a unjustified grudge.

I have no hidden agenda. I do not think that DK was the best thing to happen to this club as I believe others could have done better.

I have , however, moved on as that is all now water under the bridge. It is a great pity that others cannot..

Beacause many people invest with either with debt (ie a loan) or an agenda for real estate (eg Archer and the prosepetcive buyers of WHaM). Once Falmer is approved we could be back to our, "yes", paranoia days. many other clubs e.g Wolves. Leeds etc have pissed away more than £20 million. All investors in football clubs are after money, so dont think it is a cahrity donation! IMO

OK who else at that time in the club's history was willing to take us on? If we had got relegated by Hereford we would not have been allowed in the Conference with a ground share, we woul be history !

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, i would suggest to let the old giffer live in the past with his dreams etc and stop bringing up the past with him, and lets get behind the team that we all love
