It seems to be only way.
Supermarkets, taxis and all public transport. Why not?
Selfishness - pure and simple.

I think some in Government have become so weeded to the whole “FREEDOM!!” narrative that they’ve left themselves no room politically to roll back at all. Plus a large section of the right wing press have done this a dozen times harder and won’t countenance any sort of “retreat” to the “doom mongers” and the like.
Basically, much as in the US, it’s become just another front in the “culture wars”. Which ended up very, very badly over there (fortunately it hasn’t happened with vaccines over here like it has over there), let’s hope it doesn’t do so over here.
Not worn a mask up till now not about to start
You will be breaking the law next week then?

If you don’t have a good medical reason why not then you are just part of the problem...
Unless they're changing the law I suspect not but you carry on like everyone else thinking masks are the only option. I've worn a face covering throughout. It just really hacks me off that people constantly refer to masks. I've not once worn one but I've always complied with the law. Have a nice day
This would be of course why I very specifically used the word mask in my post. I note as well that you made a judgement on me without knowing my circumstances or whether I was exempt. Covid has created a nation of judgemental do gooders who all of course are perfect in their own lives
See my response to previous poster who made a judgement on me without reading the wording on the post you've just quoted.
Strange behaviour intentionally making a post, knowing it will be mis-read so you can then get all indignant when you got the exact response you were looking for.
Not really in keeping with the community spirit we're trying to engender, frankly.
You’re a pedantic arse, aren’t you!
Bozza, in post above, was a little more polite, but I’m sick of people thinking they are being clever...
Apologies to you also. Genuinely wasn't trying to be clever at all. Drunk posting is bad.
Apology accepted and in light of your apology, please accept mine for calling you a pedantic arse
Apologies. It's been a bug bear of mine throughout the pandemic. I've had an evening out and should perhaps not post when inebriated
Yes, the law is quite specifically about face-coverings and I'm pretty sure it doesn't mention masks at all, except maybe as an example of a face-covering.Unless they're changing the law I suspect not but you carry on like everyone else thinking masks are the only option. I've worn a face covering throughout. It just really hacks me off that people constantly refer to masks. I've not once worn one but I've always complied with the law.
