Suarez was a decent signing considering his ability but the guy can't be good for the dressing room- he is a nutjob and a liability.

As I understand it, although Kenny Dalglish was in charge by the time Suarez put pen to paper, the man who identified him as a target and put the initial moves in to sign him was...Roy Hodgson.

Sifting through the anti - scouse rhetoric, which was only to be expected by some there are some decent points.
After spending over £100m on players should LFC fans expect a top 4 finish. Yes.
LFC received £60m for Torres and Merieles. With that money we bought Carroll, Henderson and Coates. Would LFC have been a better team with Torres and Merieles this season? No idea.
The new owners spent £40m on Downing (England International), Henderson (U21 England captain) and Adam (Scottish International and arguably one of the best PL players last year). On paper that looks like money well spent. Has it worked out? No.
A lot of money spent on players that for whatever reason have not always produced the goods. Suarez cost £22m, and LFC have turned down £35m from PSG, so a little money to be had there if we are skint. Was I happy with the signings? No. AC and JH were panic buys by new owners trying not to upset the faithful after Torres was sold. They underestimated the fans and that will not happen again. If they had done that at the Red Sox they would have been lynched.
Is KD (Not KK, that's Kevin Keegan) the right man for the job? He never was for me. I wanted AVB. A young new manager to liven us up a little after the, how shall I say it "Technical era" of Benitez.
I thought KD had been out of the game too long, and did not want to see this legend of a man (I mean his life outside of football) receive the sort of abuse he has been getting now from some quarters. he had the best intentions for his club, and was there when the club needed him.
In the top flight there are 3 domestic trophies. LFC have the first, and have at least a 25% chance of a second. Not really interested in 4th, but I do want to see the PL in the trophy room. So 2 out of 3, is it good enough? One out of three? Probably enough for another season, but KD will decide what is best for the club.
I expect to see a lot of business in the summer but whatever KD does is OK with me, and most other Reds. He has done enough to earn the right to decide fir himself.

I would still like to see a young manager go in to Anfield and rebuild the club, there are several decent young British managers around the premier league at the moment who could be given a chance. I think Kenny will be given another summer to sort out the goal scoring problems at the club. With a decent goal scoring striker to compliment Suarez (if he stays) then Liverpool will become a decent side.

Correct. KD has signed exclusively, shit.

Roy had nothing to do with Suarez. Commolli was the man who scouted, and got him in, Roy was just the manager. Roy did bring in Brad Jones from Middlesborough for £2.3m, Poulsen from Italy for £5m and Konchesky from Fulham for £5m and two decent lads from our academy. I do not think they played a total of 15 games between them.

He was responsible for getting Merieles, which was to be fair a decent signing, so one out of four ain't too bad.
I thought Roy could have been the right man to steady the ship but in the end he committed professional suicide. He showed no passion for LFC, and walked away with his £6m after 6 months work. Everyone in life has a level to discover, LFC was just a few steps too far for Roy.
