Tiltman was spectacularly awful.

He also suffered through being compared to Dean Saunders and also by being a convinient stick to beat the hugely unpopular Barry Lloyd with.

Some of the suggestions on thsi thread are pure comedy.

Ade Akinbiyi! :dunce:

Cannot say about "ever", as I haven't seen them all, but the worst player I've seen live was;

Michael Mahoney-Johnson/David Adekola
In fact, our entire team at "home" to Doncaster at Priestfield (0-0 and easily the worst match I've seen. Not a shot on GOAL, never mind on target - from either side).

I would have to go with Ashley Neal with an honourable mention for Damien Hilton. Tiltman was terrible as well but I saw his goal for the Albion in a 3-1 defeat at Barnsley. Seem to remember he hit the woodwork twice in that game as well.

Joe O'Cearuill wasn't it?

he was the worst player i've seen. Ting think we had him the year after going down. Remember him being clueless against brentford at their place.

It was our first season in League One following relegation from the champtionship.

He had a very assured debut at right back at West Ham with Guy Butters talking him through the game. For that reason, I would rule him out - there are some players on this thread who didn't have a single good game, let alone good game against a team from 2 leagues higher.

That Scottish goalkeeper Smith last season. Big reputation but hardly saved a shot.

Worst ever is surely between Ashley Neil, Damian Hilton and Michael Mahoney Johnson.

Tiltman and Horscroft belong in a fairly crap cluster of players way behind them in the pecking order, along with Craig Maskell (before Gritt was given the job), Andy Ansah and Jamie Moralee.

Mick Ferguson and Mark Farrington will always be the two most disappointing players I've ever seen, but no where near these lists in reality.

Ashley Neal and Glenn Thomas. I'm truly AWFUL at playing football but honestly think I could have done better.

The Albion have had, maybe uniquely, players so truly madly deeply awful that they don't just move on to other clubs they move on to other PROFESSIONS. In recent years I'm thinking Molango, Dixon, Gatting. & I'm sure Holroyd has a promising future ahead of him as a geography teacher or something. Anything. :wave:
