Seeing as how the bee-worrier only managed to beat the humble mozzie with the aid of a sexed-up dodgy dossier, there can be only one outcome in this round. Hip-Hip-Hippo!

The Honey Badger, no question. I've seen plenty of hippos in zoos, you ever seen a honey badger in a zoo? No. Because they would SAVAGE anyone who tried to capture them.

"The honey badger has a reputation as a tenacious and fearless animal, which is well-deserved. They have no natural enemies. They will fight back with their powerful jaws and claws, as well as using the pungent excretion from their anal glands to deter predation. Few animals will altercate with a full grown honey badger. They also have loose, thick skin that makes them hard to grasp. They will attack animals many times larger than themselves, including sheep, horses, buffaloes, wildebeest and waterbuck. They will even charge larger predators, such as lions, to get to their kills."

The Honey Monster ???

Badger all the way, its far more athletic than the hippo. it may take a long time but eventually it would bring the hippo down !!!

These threads are just plain silly. How can you have a poll about the world's hardest creature and leave Chuck Norris out?

Eh?

Well?

Exactly.

You want to know who gave the Honey Badger it's name? Chuck Norris, that's who.

And why? Because he eats them for breakfast with some honey.

Honey Badger v Wolverine. Fight of the century. Wolverine would win though.

I swarm of bees can overpower the :safeway honeybadger.

Bee stings would be inaffective on a Hippo's skin.

Hippo wins.

Can you imagine a honey badger in pyjamas advertising Silentnight's new range of comfy matresses? No. Because it wouldn't happen. Because it's the hardest animal in the world and, if in bed with a cartoon duckling, would rip it's tiny face off.

Easy RATEL victory.

Very occasionally. But a Black Mamba cannot.

Would a hippo take on a swarm of bees or a Black Mamba? No.

Seems to me that the honeybadger is a SCRAPPER. He was in all sorts of trouble when I went to bed last night but by the time I got up he had managed to drag the neceesary extra votes out of the night shift nscers to finally see of the mozzie. Now he's in another serious scrap, this time against a worthy opponent(IMO). Will he have the legs to see off the hippo (fresh from an easy, easy destruction of the 'king of the jungle') or will the hippo CRUSH him in his powerful jaws?
