I think that looks a decent team - much better balanced than the other one. Barnes can have a match off to reflect on his behaviour

Personally, I'd have Verity above Underwood but I wouldn't argue it

Dennis Compton is a must. Hanson Carter was the Aussie wicket keeper for the early part of the century. Bob Cowper was a class batsman for Australia in the 60s (a triple centurion no less) and a part time spinner. India's Chandrasekar was a first class spinner - he skittled England out in 1971 for India's first win. Brian Close was a genuine opener.

Barrington is a must - he had a test average of around 50, he bowled a bit too. Barber bowled a lot more

Players that you could have had: Eddie Barlow, Basil Butcher, Sid Barnes (the Australian one, with a batting average of 63!), Bill Brown (like Bradman and Barnes, a member of the 1948 invincibles), Bill Bowes, Trevor Bailey and current Pakistan player Babar Azam

Barrington's average was about 58 I think, behind only Sutcliffe of England batsmen. I don't think he could be trusted to bowl in a Test though - but with Bedi in the team he shouldn't need to.

Very similar - although I included Tony Greig and Dizzy Gillespie where you had Grace and Grisham, and had Mike Gatting or Larry Gomes rather than Gayle. I had Johnny Gleeson as the spinner but had forgotten Lance Gibbs
